upgrading the family tv to TCL Roku 4k 50inches. literally going to be insane because our old tv is from 2013 or 2014 lmfao

  2. Joe King on July 22, 2021 at 8:51 pm

Hmmm, the TCL 65" is sold out. Thanks a lot! That’s what happens when you get over 2 million views for this video. TCL should be paying you!

  3. Javi Ruiz on July 22, 2021 at 8:51 pm

    I’m not buying it

  4. King Eris on July 22, 2021 at 8:54 pm

I used to own a 32 inch Sony trinitron. It’s so heavy you could anchor a ship lol

  5. Linda H on July 22, 2021 at 8:54 pm

I have 2- 55" smart TV’s. One is the LG 55" 3D TV we watch movies on. And a Samsung 55" 4K smart TV I game on.

  6. Jacob Concannon on July 22, 2021 at 8:55 pm

    $60 for a hoodie? Wtf

  7. DogGuy! on July 22, 2021 at 8:57 pm

I already the cheap one in my bed and the big one on the living room

  8. Linda H on July 22, 2021 at 8:58 pm

Now we had a big screen TV. 27" Sony when I was a kid. A 32" cost $600 and my parents didn’t have that to buy a TV.

  9. Revolution019 on July 22, 2021 at 8:59 pm

“TV’s like this will only become cheaper”
If only it wasn’t the opposite now

  10. Mathew Kostner on July 22, 2021 at 9:03 pm

Why buy a cheap tv when you can have clout with a nice expensive tv

  11. John W on July 22, 2021 at 9:03 pm

I am still running a 2009 Samsung 42" Plasma as my main tv….hasnt died yet. I want a bigger tv but not till this one bites the dust.

  12. 17PercentBiggaMario on July 22, 2021 at 9:05 pm

I bought one of these "entry-level" 4k TVs about 2 years ago. It worked, it was nice and was cool to see a screen above 1080p. Now I’m upgrading to a bit more of a high-end 4k monitor (32", but with my living situation that’s enough.) I’m very glad I had that TV when I did, it provided my first 4k gaming experience and was amazing to me

I upgraded all my PC hardware before buying any new monitors, so I had the tech to run 4k 60 at high details, but not the monitors. Was on 1080p 90hz until approximately 3 days from today (its in the mail, so excited)

  13. CJ The Chill on July 22, 2021 at 9:06 pm

Am I the only one trying to figure out how to obtain the unattainable other than what’s thrown on our faces?
You doing a graphics card giveaway some time Linus? 😬😅

  14. Crypt1cmyst1c on July 22, 2021 at 9:09 pm

it’s because they’re subsidizing the price of the screen by bundling it with "smart" features that spy on you. that’s why smart TV’s are cheap, but non-smart TV’s are staying the same price.

  15. DJ Saek Rakem on July 22, 2021 at 9:11 pm

I still got an ol’ normal LCD tv 30 inch 1080p good enuff for me :)… used for roku and to my GPU hdmi for those weekly TPB downloads 🙂

  16. BadboyDCX on July 22, 2021 at 9:11 pm

I see this TV in literally almost every house I go to😂

  17. GB on July 22, 2021 at 9:12 pm

2:30 lmao tf its not a cheap hoodie

  18. gcmgome on July 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm

When I was a kid about 1 in 10 households had a small CRT black and white TV. By the time John Glenn orbited the Earth in 1962 every second household had a black and white TV. By the time the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964, color TV’s were only owned by the extremely wealthy. When men landed on the moon in 1969, the prices of color TV’s had come down to where more people owned them.
I worked in tech support for a satellite TV company in 2010 when society was in the midst of a complete change from CRT TV’s to flat screen TV’s. All I can say about that is our species is doomed. So many people are too stupid to own a TV (i.e. "make sure your TV is on the right input" . . ."what’s an input?" ).
But having witnessed the advent of TV development and use in my lifetime, I am also somewhat surprised at how much the prices have come down. I just purchased my second 65" TV ….. because I can.

  19. Christopher Tracy on July 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm

Communist China is behind TCL. Using a TCL television jeopardizes your privacy because the Chinese are using them. I had one die after only 3 years and I refuse to buy another one.

  20. Tyler Roam on July 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm

Quality Over Quantity. I Would Rather Have A Smaller 50" High End Tv Than A 4 Series TCL Any Day.

The Bigger Budget TVs Are Good But In Most Circumstances Can’t Get Bright Enough To Do HDR Content Or In General, The Internals To Process The HDR Are Terrible, And They Are Cheaply Made. They Are Not Bad TVs,The Value Is There. But Once You See Something Higher End, You Probably Won’t Want To Go Back Even If You Have To Sacrifice 10-15" For Quality And Higher Price.

  21. Neville Nazerane on July 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm

I did not buy this. Hence EVERYONE didn’t buy it. YOU LIE!!

Thanks Linus for making this tv $150 more

  28. Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool on July 22, 2021 at 9:21 pm

I bought this bitch from walmart for ~ 240 it’s 50 inch model. The included roku remote was extremely cheap feeling, luckily roku sells a premium voice remote for $20 that feels remarkably more solid. This new 4k tv was cheaper than what I paid for my last 1080p tv that was used. Pretty crazy times.

  29. Diego Huijbregts Garcia on July 22, 2021 at 9:21 pm

Yeah, I’m picky about TV’s. I have a 49" Nanocell TV, loving it for well over a year now.

  30. Dylan Hale on July 22, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I currently have a 720p 32 inch TV from like 2016, thinking about upgrading to one of these for my Xbox one X

  31. Genessa on July 22, 2021 at 9:24 pm

Found one of these at a garage sale for free. The woman said half the screen was busted, but it turned out that the power supply was partially damaged which made it lose LED backlighting on half the tv. Thing is, she had it on max brightness. We just set it to ‘bright’ instead of ‘brightest’ and it’s been working fine for 3 months lmao

  32. M. A. on July 22, 2021 at 9:26 pm

A very mom friendly tv, I just got her a 43 inch, as big as she would allow. I put a table top stand on it instead of those feet and she is good to go. Now if I can get her to use the streaming we can kill the cable box.

  33. Luna Lytele on July 22, 2021 at 9:32 pm

    someone give David a Grammy

  34. Colin Murphy on July 22, 2021 at 9:33 pm

The TCL 635 series 55 inch is in my opinion the best tv ever made in terms of value, it has better features than my Samsung 8 series QLED which cost over 2 times as much.

  35. vBDKv on July 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

That is the saddest remote control for a tv I’ve ever seen in my life.

  36. pleappleappleap on July 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

When I was a kid, my parents’ 25" console Zenith was the largest TV on the street. You make me feel old.

  37. boe dillard on July 22, 2021 at 9:37 pm

Funny – when I was a kid a tv larger than 25" didn’t exist unless it was a projector that looked like crap because TV shows were all SD and upscalers were pretty much unheard of. Now I’m thinking I might be able to afford a 100" if prices continue to drop next year.

  38. kurema on July 22, 2021 at 9:37 pm

Why does Linus Not Buying the Ruggable? If he does he would not drop and crash stuffs.

  39. frosted1030 on July 22, 2021 at 9:38 pm

I still want a 100" tv with no "smart" features. What gives? Why must I invest in garbage that’s obsolete in 6 years?

  40. dudder86 dudder on July 22, 2021 at 9:39 pm

I paid for $800 it the highest model but 8k still a little work

  41. Black2KGSR on July 22, 2021 at 9:39 pm

When I was a teen, my dad bought a 35" and it was humongous

  42. Marty Stines on July 22, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I just bought a 43inch TCL for $250 from best buy. 4k, HDR 10, 60hz(😢) but needed something cheap and was the smallest 4k TV, just about. Great with my Series X. Don’t care much about 120 FPS on console.

    And mines Android baby!

  43. Carl McLemore on July 22, 2021 at 9:40 pm

It doesn’t make sense to buy anything other than 6 series if you’re buying a TCL.

  44. Joe King on July 22, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Roku tv’s use an IR remote, whereas some of the Roku add on devices use an RF remote which you don’t have to be pointing at the tv to have operate. That can be a drawback. A pro of the Roku tv is that you only need one remote.

  45. Joe King on July 22, 2021 at 9:44 pm

When I was a teen color tv’s were just becoming available. Ah, the good old days!

  46. Joe King on July 22, 2021 at 9:46 pm

TCL is notorious for bad speakers. Especially the smaller TCL tv’s.

  47. Zigor Campos on July 22, 2021 at 9:47 pm

  48. Brian Gomez on July 22, 2021 at 9:48 pm

I hope you see this! I am obsessed with your videos, but am still LOST as to which TV to get. I want to get a 75-86" screen TV, and it’s going in a room that gets a LOT of sun. Please give me your top 3 recommendations 🙂 🙂 I’ll be forever grateful!
