I’m looking to get a new TV but I keep hearing about screen burn, which I think is certain pixels in the screen just dieing on you(?). Also hearing that it’s the OLEDs that are the worst for this. I’m not a gamer, though I will occaisionally fire up my old PS3, but I do watch a lot of films and so would appreciate as close to a cinematic feel as possible. I’m prbably looking at spending no more than £600-700. Any reccommendations?

Very good advice. Thanks for your hard work 👍

  4. MBH on November 25, 2021 at 2:01 pm

For next-gen gaming the answer is either an LG C1 or LG G1. I went with the C1 and I’m absolutely loving it!

  5. 615UA on November 25, 2021 at 2:02 pm

I got the CX last year and I’m stuck on it. Not going to upgrade for a while

  6. Ben Ciha on November 25, 2021 at 2:03 pm

I have a 65 inch LG CX , and am searching for a 55 inch for my bedroom..should I go OLED again with a C1, or try QLED with the Samsung Q90A.

  7. Knight Driver on November 25, 2021 at 2:05 pm

    There’s 2 good choices. LG C1 or Sony A80J.
Everything else is not even worth it.
Unless you need a LED backlit tv for bright rooms. Oled is the way to go for 2021-2022.

  8. DoobSac on November 25, 2021 at 2:06 pm

    Screw anything under 75 inches

  9. Ladioz on November 25, 2021 at 2:08 pm

What is the refresh rate on tv’s like this? how does everything look so smooth on it please?

  10. Tino brown on November 25, 2021 at 2:08 pm

I just upgraded from the LG C9 to a C1. Gonna give the C9 to my sister. Both are 65”. Hopefully the C1 will last me at least for the next 5 to 6 years. By then tv tech should have taken another leap.

  11. ESP87 on November 25, 2021 at 2:11 pm

So technically G1 is gonna be the best next year to buy?, because it’s 2700 USD now and next year problaby 1500?.

  12. Trevor Selby on November 25, 2021 at 2:11 pm

I am drooling over a c1 77" OLED… please wife, let me buy it!

  13. SolarizeYourLife on November 25, 2021 at 2:15 pm

Don’t buy any tv without nextgen/atsc 3.0!!! Or you will be screwed and wasting your money if you are in the US!!!

  14. Julie Pederick on November 25, 2021 at 2:16 pm

Wish I had of seen this b4 buying my new TV in July, would have helped greatly, I don’t always trust sales reps who work on commissions. I did buy an LG TV U recommended. I won’t buy Samsung anything any more, had issues with all 4× mobiles, tablet, A/C & a washing machine I bought. Love the LG.
But I also need a small TV 40-42 inch 4 bedroom. What do U recommended (strictly TV/movie watching, no gaming) What I want the LG they don’t make that small 40-42 inch.

  15. Jo Llama on November 25, 2021 at 2:17 pm

LG C9 still alive and kicking

  16. Mark Ellis on November 25, 2021 at 2:18 pm

I got the LG CX 48 earlier this year, really happy with the purchase.

  17. Jeremy S on November 25, 2021 at 2:18 pm

I’ve got a 2018 QLED Q9F. It’s fantastic, but I did have to get a board replaced as it would sometimes turn off randomly. Don’t be fooled- brightness is one of the most important features I think a TV can have now that I’ve had this. It gets BRIGHT AS HELL. Gaming Mode is also a game changer with VRR and ultra low latency.

  18. Krzysztof Błachut on November 25, 2021 at 2:19 pm

    Hey Tom✌🏻
So i use it Samsung Q90T now. Only for XSX and PS4PRO, and Netflix and Amazon Video of course. No conventional tv. I thinking about to upgrade, but idk do I should wait until next 2022 models od go for C1 or QN95A…
I really miss Dolby Vision, but Samsung picture quality is also mind blowing, so is DV is really necessary?
U doing a great job with Ur contents Tom.
    Thanks for that.
    ✌🏻

Hi dear Sir. What is the best monitor for ps5 that is hdmi 2.1, HDR , 120 HZ, 1ms response time , built in speakers and definitely 4k? Please help

  20. Smyq on November 25, 2021 at 2:21 pm

    That’s why i bought yesterday LG C1 !

  21. In Layman's Terms on November 25, 2021 at 2:23 pm

I find it difficult to take your comments as your own because you have such a long track record with LG
It’s hard look past the fact your probably on the payroll.
Nothing against OLED I own the G1 and C1 myself however would be nice to see more of an objective opinion.
Keep up the good work 🙂

  22. S D on November 25, 2021 at 2:25 pm

Make sure it is 8k QLED + Dolby surround sound + Able to install all apps screen size as per your choice + Number of ports and the list goes on

  23. Paradox Warhorse on November 25, 2021 at 2:25 pm

  24. Naz hussain on November 25, 2021 at 2:25 pm

Is 4k qn95a qled tv best for
Series x and ps5 playing together at once

  25. William Petersen on November 25, 2021 at 2:26 pm

I am currently still using a Samsung H6400 55inch Smart 3D LED TV for the last 5+ years. Still looks great as a Full HD TV. I’m currently looking at getting either a LG Nanocell 65inch TV or a Samsung 65 inch QLED TV. Could you please advise which one should I go for. I am primarily going to use it as a 4K display on my PC. Thanks.

  37. Luda Elhasia on November 25, 2021 at 2:36 pm

I currently have a 2K 165Hz gaming monitor plugged into my PC and PS5 and is great! I really want to get either the 48" or 55" LG OLED C1 for my living room. Its kinda pricy though for real

  44. Justin Grall on November 25, 2021 at 2:50 pm

Right now I have a 55" 3D Panasonic plasma TV and I just ordered a 75" Hisense U7G for the 4K and 120hz refresh rate and two HDMI 2.1 ports with one also being the audio one but I already have a sound bar and none of the new counsels yet

  45. Josh Monson on November 25, 2021 at 2:52 pm

I wish I could get a pretty good tv but here in my country are really expensive and are not the latest models, usually we get entry level tvs for the price of a top notch display. It’s a boomer.

  46. mate werner on November 25, 2021 at 2:52 pm

For someone who lives in europe, what are Tv’s that you guys recommend for mainly gaming purposes on the PS5? The Oleds are over my budget.

Not useful, very generic and basic.
