Hey Caleb! Have you considered figuring power efficiency into your video reviews? Is it worth discussing the power usage levels between tv sizes and types, or is is it not worth splitting hairs over?

Great picture, but between the Roku system interface, proprietary features, and the minor cost-cutting designs issues discovered after installation, it’s much better to spend a little more from a legitimate TV vendor then deal with numerous frustrating deficiencies. They provide a 3.5mm jack so I can use my 1986 Sony Walkman wired headphones or purchase proprietary Roku wireless speakers. So my new TCL TV is not compatible with my wireless Bose headphones, wireless Sony Speakers or new security camera system. Auxiliary Bluetooth transmitters are available–at an additional cost. The TCL remote sensor is positioned directly on the front of the TV. So if you position a center speaker anywhere in front; it blocks the sensor, which causes the remote to not function. Your only other option is to purchase a $50 IR extender. More wires and more time/ money. The TCL only has one USB port to source the extender power, so to use a remote control, you must sacrifice that port. For Roku, an active credit card to establish my free account. With all the quality-cutting designs and question both the reliability and longevity of this product.

Can’t decide between TCL 6 series or Sony 900h

  5. Impossible on April 4, 2021 at 12:59 am

This is video is not useful for decision making. I understand you are making money off of the links in your description and that’s fine but you offer next to no criticisms about any of the TV’s to help us understand the flaws that each offer and no real comparison to help us understand which is better than the other. Instead it’s basically like you are just reading the strong points each tv manufacturer claims on the box hoping we will get one of them using your affiliate links so you make some money even if it’s by us making a non-properly informed decision.

Was going to get the tcl 6 series but on amazon all the reviews are terrible?

  8. 24 Hour GMT Channel on April 4, 2021 at 1:00 am

Curios as to why Hisense only offers the H9G up to 65 inch. To get a 75 you have to drop down to the slightly less performing H8G.

  9. Jesper Scheel-Bech on April 4, 2021 at 1:00 am

Love your reviews, would be great if you could translate the TCL US model numbers to their EU variants?

  10. Josh Swicegood on April 4, 2021 at 1:02 am

The Sony x900 65 inch is 1400$! Must been on sale and missed it:(

  11. Gardog on April 4, 2021 at 1:02 am

Sony X900H is $1500 here in Canada Im crossing my fingers for some kind of sale in the near future

  12. Miguel P on April 4, 2021 at 1:02 am

What about audio quality. Which of these TVs have great sound?

  13. Pinky Powers on April 4, 2021 at 1:04 am

I bought a 43" TCL 5-Series in August as an upgrade to my 24" PC monitor. lol. That’s a big, bright screen to sit directly in front of. But I love it. If I upgrade again, it will only be for a true 120hz 4K that looks at least as good as this.

  14. James Cooke on April 4, 2021 at 1:05 am

My 2017 Samsung Smart TV went black a few wks ago and I’m currently trying to decide if I should get another Samsung TV or should I go with LG or Vizio?

  15. Dominique Medina on April 4, 2021 at 1:06 am

What do you think about LG 49 UN7350?

  16. Bruce Moyers on April 4, 2021 at 1:06 am

I have researched the TCL brand. A number of reviewers report that TCL sells tvs that SHOULD cost considerably more. Then one reports that the DOD is concerned about these Chinese motherboards reporting data back home! I honestly think I can do just as well with a Japanese/Korean made set. Just me.

  17. DoobSac on April 4, 2021 at 1:09 am

I have the TCL 6 series R635 75 inch, it is a beautiful TV overall but it does suffer from pretty bad blooming in very dark scenes.

  18. Potion Music on April 4, 2021 at 1:11 am

    Such an underrated channel

  19. Ryan Mossa on April 4, 2021 at 1:11 am

I am torn to hold out for a actual 120HZ panel, but trying to get the best bang for the buck. I could get something in 60HZ now and save a LOT of money but will I regret that a year or two from now? Thoughts?

  20. Metazoin QB3RT on April 4, 2021 at 1:11 am

The Sony is back to 1300

  21. Tattoo Wizards on April 4, 2021 at 1:12 am

Thank you for your work guys
Can you plese explain me what is difference between tcl 75R615 and 75P615 ?
What is this R vs P difference?

    Thank you

  22. Tedros Abraha on April 4, 2021 at 1:13 am

I can’t find X900H in 65in for under a 1000. Did they increase the price with demand?

  23. Tattoo Wizards on April 4, 2021 at 1:13 am

Which model is this 6 series tcl?

  24. Gerry Garcia on April 4, 2021 at 1:14 am

The 6 series sold out everywhere near me…

  25. Tommy Sikes on April 4, 2021 at 1:15 am

FYI the TCL is crap. Turns itself on and off repeatedly at random times. No support. No software fix. Avoid!

  26. Nate McK on April 4, 2021 at 1:15 am

I cant break with Samsung. I did once and I had to wait years to come back.

  27. Safi Safari on April 4, 2021 at 1:15 am

Most of the TVs that I looked up on Amazon, are more even way more $1000👎.

  28. Edysin Simon on April 4, 2021 at 1:20 am

Sony burned me once…I’d been a loyal customer well over 40 years prior to the fuck over…No…fuck you sony! Never again.

  29. David Ricardo Gonzalez on April 4, 2021 at 1:20 am

Hi Caleb, awesome video as usual! I am trying to get my hands on a TCL 6 series 65inch but it looks like all the usual retailers are out of stock for some reason, do you know how can I get my hands on one?

    Thanks!

  30. curt k81 on April 4, 2021 at 1:21 am

Ok recently I had to send my lg cx oled back for replacement. Due to shortages I would have had to wait a month at least to get my tv so obviously I needed a solid yet affordable tv to game on in the meantime. I did a little research and after a lot of searching I found a tcl 6 series. It really was hard to find I guess they are very popular due to the great value this set offers. I can’t express just how happy I am with this tv. With just a bit of adjustment to the settings the picture looks very very good especially in hdr. Also I swear the tv is getting better looking as it breaks in is that even possible? This is my second week owning it. I really don’t miss my oled that much I might even say the tcl has better and brighter hdr. I always thought tcl was a generic brand you bought at Walmart but boy was I wrong. It supports all hdmi 2.1 features for my series x except it only does 1440p 120 FPS instead of 4k. Not really a big deal at all. So I ask is tcl really this good or did I just luck into a really good panel? I see next year they are coming out with a 8k tv and if they offer this great of value on the reg I may buy it.

  31. Jesse Starke on April 4, 2021 at 1:23 am

My LG t.v. is great and works great looks great but LG sucks at updating their software and there t.vs are no different. HBO max still doesn’t have an app to install on my LG. Hulu took forever and so did Spotify.

  32. Matty G on April 4, 2021 at 1:26 am

Bunch of Chinese TVs (Hisense and TCL). NO THANKS!

  33. Zep Cubacub on April 4, 2021 at 1:27 am

    Are tcl tvs durable?

  34. CAROL DAVIS on April 4, 2021 at 1:29 am

WHAT DO UYOU THINK ABOUT THE 75" LG 4K NANO 8 SERIES 7S5M867OPUA.. WAS $2K NOW LIL OVER $800

  35. Thomas Charter on April 4, 2021 at 1:30 am

I was thinking of the q70 but I guess I’ll have to seriously consider the 6 Series.

  36. Rick Lyon on April 4, 2021 at 1:31 am

Sony is $1400 from your link.

  37. Jason Breding on April 4, 2021 at 1:32 am

Hello I just click on the Sony 65 and it is $1300 not under $1000 like you shared

  38. Seb Van Der zwaan on April 4, 2021 at 1:34 am

Hi guys thanks for the great review just for clarity sake we are talking about this Sony tv right ? SONY KD65XH9005BU 65" 4K-HDR LED SMART Android TV I want to make sure I buy the right one. Thanks for your help!

  39. John Pineda on April 4, 2021 at 1:36 am

I would rather pay more to get a tv with hdmi 2.1 at 4k 120hz then a non hdmi 2.1 tv

  40. Derrick Watson on April 4, 2021 at 1:36 am

No please don’t don’t do it there get you please don’t d o that Hisense

  41. Charles L on April 4, 2021 at 1:36 am

The Sony X900H 65 inch is $1499 everywhere. Where are you seeing it at $999?

  42. Chris The Mole Man on April 4, 2021 at 1:37 am

I almost bought the tcl you suggested but owners tell me they went bad quickly so im leaning towards the lg or sony. Any truth to this?

  43. lyndon ramchatesingh on April 4, 2021 at 1:42 am

So is tcl better than hisense

  44. Kreig Embriano on April 4, 2021 at 1:45 am

I got the Sony X900h 65” in October 2020 on sale for $960 on Amazon. More recently it’s been between 1-1.4K which is still lot a bad deal but I if you can wait for the next sale, I’d recommend it.

  45. James Williams on April 4, 2021 at 1:46 am

Didnt realize Ron Swanson did tech reviews.

  50. AblissMusic on April 4, 2021 at 1:50 am

This is all bullshit. The Sony tv costs $1398 for the 65" model. I looked everywhere (including Sony’s website) and they all said it costs 1398
. The 55" is BARELY under $1000 (it cost like $998). I don’t know what kind of drugs dude was on, but he needs to get his eyes checked
