I would respectfully disagree. Each retiree weighs the relevance of each feature differently. Lots of retirees like the Jitterbug or flip phone. Still others like iphones. Some retirees will not participate in cell phone usage and will stick to land lines. I buy used devices and have a Samsung Galaxy S9 as well as a OnePlus 6T operating Android 10.

my mom 74 yrs old uses a flip phone because she is touch screen illiterate! My pop 70 yrs used to use a flip phone as well until I introduced him to a smart phone and switched him to a Sam Note 2, he broke that phone last year and got him a NOTE 4 cause he loves the size and its more simpler than the latest ones…. Once he went smart phone he never looked back on flip phones! Loves using my 300mbs UNLIMITED WiFi speeds and after teaching him a few cool useful apps that he now uses often I think there’s no way he will ever go back to a flip phones again especially after switching he’s plan to a better and cheap plan with Red Pocket $10 monthly (500mb Data, 500 Talk, 500 Texts )…

I am a senior who just uses a chromebook and a flip phone. For many years I have done banking, investing, shopping, and watched videos. What I face now is the problem of submitting documents online in this pandemic for unemployment. Of course we can no longer go in person. The chromebook’s camera is fine for online chat at a distance, but no good for close shots of documents. Of course, I never needed or wanted a scanner or printer. On the rare occasions that I did need that, I would use the library or senior centers for assistance. Should I just buy a better camera that will attach to the chromebook ? The big obstacle is that if I take a picture with a moto, I have no idea how to get that photo from the moto phone into my chromebook files so I can upload it onto a website. Thanks in advance. Subbed.

I wish I had seen your video when you first made it. It’s now three years later and I see the phone is still around for the price you paid on amazon prime. Your personal way of speaking and sincerity shines through. Thank you for sharing your information as a retiree I was glad to watch an enthusiastic and satisfied customer. Please keep sharing.

Looking at this for my mom, does the phone have large font and is it intuitive? my mom has poor vision and is not tech savvy.

It is a Motorola X4, or a Moto X4. It was mentioned in the first minute or so. It sounds like a really good phone. Some prefer the Apple platform and some like the Android platform.

what kind of phone is it. he talks for 20 minutes and doesn’t say what phone it is. not too dumb

I’m 72 and have NO USE for 99.9% of the apps aka bloatware nor the ability to take even the shitiest of photo’s. I’d much prefer to have considerably larger speaker’s than the ability to take photo’s. Based on my age and all my friends are though some are a few years younger, can attest to the fact that old people have issues with being hard of hearing.

Thank you for the Info. Have you heard of/looked at the Jitterbug Smart2 phone? Any ideas? I am looking to find the right phone for our dear friend who is 100 years old and has severe macular degeneration. She currently has a flip phone but we need to get a smart phone to set up an Alexa account so that she can voice control her television and speakers. Any ideas or recommendations from whoever have had experience for people with severe visual impairments would be really appreciated. Thank you.

What would your updated recommendation be for the best smart phone for November/December of 2020 with the 5G fast encroaching upon us?

  30. S. Walker on June 12, 2021 at 8:02 pm

One of the worst videos I have ever seen for promoting an item. You only mentioned the name of the product one time and I had to roll back three times in order to catch it. I believe you said it is Moto 4 and I am not even sure of that. maybe next time place the box next to it and have the name written down at the bottom of your screen. Other than thY good job.

This was great! Felt like I was there, just chatting with a pal. Easy to understand.
