The Best Kitchen In Australia? The Ivy Lane Residence Launceston Tasmania | Let Us In ⚡S01E24

New Home Tour! One of my most favourite things about showcasing these beautiful homes is being able to meet the people that live there to learn exactly how they use the space and what they love most about it. In the case of the Ivy Lane Residence, in Tasmania Australia, the warmth and welcoming nature of the architecture was a true reflection of the owners themselves. Generous and open, clever design touches throughout make every household task a pleasure. Boasting one of the best kitchen designs in Australia, this home celebrates daily life and creates the ultimate platform for a busy lifestyle filled with friends and family.

The Ivy Lane Residence designed by Cumulus Studio is on a generous block of land. Turning its back to the street and welcoming Northern views, this courtyard-centred home invites guests to experience a new version of its physical location.

Tasmania being known for its unpredictable climate, the Ivy Lane residence creates the opportunity for an al fresco lifestyle, making a feature out of the sun-drenched private courtyard and swimming pool that screams for regular outdoor entertaining.

This social aspect of the home continues inside with the internal living spaces, especially with the sunken lounge complete with polished concrete finishes and custom-designed seating. This superbly cosy living space is a hub of conversation and with a fireplace at its core – seating here encourages closeness and conversation.

Overlooking the sunken lounge is the exceptional kitchen with multiple preparation areas, storage, butlers pantry and modern integrated appliances. Moody black cabinetry comes alive with warm integrated lighting throughout and timber details softens it boldness. Clever details can be seen in the heated air vents neatly positioned in the laundry to act as a drying rack and at foot level in the sunken lunge to warm your toes in the colder months.

Traveling across Tasmania featuring the best Design & Experience, this episode we visit the Ivy Lane Residence in Launceston Tasmania!

  5. Helena Winnberg on February 17, 2021 at 9:15 pm

  6. Claudio Albertini on February 17, 2021 at 9:16 pm

The TV must be closer to the sofa.
The room next to the kitchen has no any window, must have it.
Do not put the chimneys next to the TV.

  7. Steve 2877 on February 17, 2021 at 9:17 pm

That’s not just a house it’s a mansion! Very Very nice. Sadly I couldn’t pay the power bill to keep it warm and pay the cleaner in beautiful Tassie…

That’s the best kitchen in Australia? Why?? It’s not bad, but… Far from the best. I liked the house plan but the interior design lacks a lot of personality, I mean, those two bedrooms of the kids are identical and have absolutely nothing… minimal parents?

  12. Sachin Gahrana CTVKErUGxY on February 17, 2021 at 9:23 pm

The first cupboard she opened in that kitchen is my kitchen.

This is undoubtedly a lovely, cosy house which was very well designed, specially because it’s been built mixing wooden elements that contrast greatly with all the industrialised materials used such as the main marbling floor which was a fantastic choice as it’s not just beautiful for its colour and easy to match but durable and easy to clean too. I just think – in my humble opinion- that the backgarden, specially the very part that surrounds the swimming pool, deserved a proper, greenish, landscape project with lots of plants and trees not only to enhance the whole building but also to keep a cool temperature around rather than the plain grass chosen. As for the footage presenter, I must say you are lovely too, very enthusiastic, has a very convincing and descriptive language (with a lovely Aussie Accent) and I quite like you…well done!

  21. carmenza Gonzalez on February 17, 2021 at 9:34 pm

    Boom ! Love this house.
I will be keen to have the social area and the kitchen exactly as this house in my own.

  26. NOW WHAT on February 17, 2021 at 9:39 pm

    why bare feet ?

  27. Tamara on February 17, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Can’t stop repeat watching this video. Love the black and the warm wood tone. We have similar style but not as fancy. 🥰

  28. Tracy Adams on February 17, 2021 at 9:44 pm

A very beautiful home. Not sure about the dust and smears on all of the black, but I do love the warm wood and black which is balanced nicely with white. A mirror backsplash will require constant attention. I hate the camera zoom/spinning effects I see being used here and in online videos used to sell homes. It’s downright nauseating. Learn to pan slowly, linger, allow the viewer to enjoy the space and details.

  29. Luke Greenwood on February 17, 2021 at 9:45 pm

This has no place being in Launceston

  30. Sefa DOĞAN on February 17, 2021 at 9:46 pm

  36. nola wilson on February 17, 2021 at 9:52 pm

lots to like …but the kids bathroom should have been round the other way …shower as you walk in and vanity at the window end …

  37. NOW WHAT on February 17, 2021 at 9:53 pm

@Hunting for George I just imagine myself going for a home inspection and the real estate agent took off the shoes at the entry door and ask me to do the same as a condition of entry 🙂

  38. Paula Farmer on February 17, 2021 at 9:54 pm

I love modern style and modern kitchens, and this is definitely sleek and stylish. I can understand it being a top contender, but it’s a bit too minimal and void of personality to warrant "best in the country" status.

  39. David Fajardo on February 17, 2021 at 9:55 pm

reminds me a bit of the house in the movie Parasite.

  40. Salvador santana on February 17, 2021 at 9:56 pm

  43. Claudio Albertini on February 17, 2021 at 9:56 pm

The bathroom is good ,black and wood
The bedroom too. The large windows besides excellent

  44. Tina Dawes on February 17, 2021 at 9:57 pm

I do like the overall layout… but best kitchen in Australia?? Come on… really? Who awarded that? The kitchen makers? Hmmm. I’ve seen better….
Not enough Art on the walls. Interiors are pretty drab… tbh. Soz. Just an opinion

  45. lsamoa on February 17, 2021 at 9:57 pm

The kitchen is nothing special, I actually like mine better. But the laundry room! OMG I’d kill for one like this!

  46. Niña Cañete on February 17, 2021 at 10:00 pm

One common thing i luvluvluvliv about this series: you take your shoes off when doing the tour ❤️

  47. Luke Greenwood on February 17, 2021 at 10:03 pm

That bathroom is bigger than my house

  48. Pavankumar Pavi on February 17, 2021 at 10:03 pm
