I would recommend the HP Pavilion x360 laptop for under $800 because this laptop is designed with great features. It has an Intel i5 10th Generation processor and it is a convertible laptop with a variety of modes!

This laptop also has a great display and excellent performance!

What do you think about Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ADA05 (Ryzen 5-3500U/12GB/256GB/FHD/W10 S) for student’s use/movies/light gaming/music/browsing? for 550euros.( don’t compare walmart prices we dont have them in Greece).? If you can recommend a better one in the same price range?

Hello Josh, quick question for you; I purchased the ENVY x360 2-in-1 13.3" Touchscreen Laptop – Intel Evo Platform – Intel Core i7 – 8GB Memory – 512GB SSD to make movies and to use embroidery software will this computer handle this? The processor System Memory RAM Speed: is 3200 megahertz, is this fast enough for what Iโ€™m trying to do? Also, I paid $749, did I get a good deal?

  17. Paul Aner on February 17, 2021 at 9:30 pm

Nice video, but I respectfully disagree with a lot of you critiria: You mostly talk about screens and that they’re to dim. especially students probably won’t care about that – I don’t either. when you use your laptop inside, you don’t need 300nits. also: it matters if the screen is reflective or not. with some laptops you don’t even mention that they have hdds. THAT is an absolute no-go nowadays. I for one don’t care that much about the weight of the laptop. MUCH more about how loud it is, if there are thermal problems and battery life.

    Hi Josh

You wouldn’t see this comment but if you saw by chance then please solve my headache
I am a student and need a good laptop that should last my life I am searching for a laptop that suits me the most. After 5 months of research I am now confused among these –
    Hp envy x360 13 inch amd ryzen 5 45000u
Hp envy x360 13 inch intel core i5 11th gen
    Hp envy 13
    Asus zenbook 13 2020
    Asus zenbook 14 2020

PLEASE choose and tell the right one among them.If you do feel that laptops that I listed are not good according to you then you can recommend me a laptop from your side

    MY REQUIREMENTS
    Thunderbolt 3 or 4
A good processor to handle heavy tasks at an ease
Touchscreen is not that much required to me but if then I would be thankful
Light weight around or under 1.5kg
    Enough battery life
    Comfortable to use
    Brightness around 400 nits

Waiting for your reply as I only trust you and really really don’t feel I. Am buttering you

    B…bye ๐Ÿ‘‹

It’s astounding that I still can’t find what I’m looking for at these prices. With the Ryzens I’m finding Acer and others cheaping out on the RAM frequencies, that I’d like to see 3200MHz. The laptops with good displays either also lack that, or just don’t offer a 1TB HDD option and don’t have an open bay in the chassis. I’ve been at this for five straight days now and I’m close to buying the Legion 5, but half the reviews mention terrible hardware failures, or how awful the screen is, plus I don’t want to spend money on a dedicated GPU, I’m not going to use it.

The fact My 7 YO Aspire E5-573G is still holding up fairly well, and packing enough of a punch to make me doubt the investment of a new laptop, especially with it’s poor screen, is extremely frustrating.

  37. damian xavier on February 17, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Acer is king of budget laptops….. There should have been more like the aspire 3, aspire 5 or even the spin 3….still it’s a good vid and for once somebody actually gave a list of budget laptops instead of calling it budget and showing 1300 dollar laptops so thank you for that…..

  38. Welt Siebenhundert on February 17, 2021 at 9:49 pm

HP got bashed, just because they not gave infos/there they cheaper out!
