Sony set the bar among the rest…I trust only Sony tv

  2. BabyboomTheWarrior on January 7, 2021 at 7:54 pm

My experience with LG OLED and the service of LG is dissapointing. My LG OLED was burned in within 3 years. Normal use and certainly no static content.

A bad product can happen, but then it is all about the service from retailer/manufacturer. They did nothing.

So dispite the great picture of OLED, I won’t buy it until there is guarantee on burn ins. And it won’t be one from LG!

Chinese TV can be cheap but they should not be compared with Korean and Japanese companies. I own Samsung and LG tvs and they are performing same even after 8 years. Now i have bought Sony x900h. Chinese tvs are not option for me. I have bought some Chinese products in the past and never satisfied with the quality, customer service and longevity. Please stop comparing Chinese tvs with Samsung , LG and Sony

Doesnt the Sony x900h have some blurr issues at 120 FPS and Sony hasn’t released an update yet, also as most high end tvs at that price comes at 120 FPS Sony is one of a few with updates like a firmware, is it good or we should wait longer to buy such tvs

I’ve had two (2) 75" Samsung Q800T 8k TV’s delivered in the past 7 weeks. Both have had banding and dirty screen issues, so the second unit is scheduled to be returned as well. Even the showroom model had minor banding. What tv can I buy which will not have any banding? I have a 55" TCL 4 series that is brighter and sharper than these Samsungs with no banding issues. Spending $3300 and not being able to expect a clean screen has me bitterly disappointed.

  27. BC on January 7, 2021 at 8:21 pm

Wish the TV manufacturers could keep their eyes on image quality instead of the constant resolution hysteria. NO, it’s not the same thing.

  28. John Mcaulay on January 7, 2021 at 8:21 pm

    Looks amazing

  29. BabyboomTheWarrior on January 7, 2021 at 8:23 pm

I gave it a chance. Contacted LG again and asked if the problems like the burn-ins with my LG OLED B6V won’t happen with the CX. Even their customer service told me there is still a chance. I should be carefull. The employee told me that even he sees retention after a few minutes on his own LG OLED when he plays Pro Evolution Soccer (the score). This is not burn-in, but if you repeat this it will be.

So I know for sure now, it will be the 65Q90T. I still think the picture on LG OLED looks better, but I won’t take the risk again that this (expensive) tv will be burned in within 3 years.

  34. hatchbackhound on January 7, 2021 at 8:27 pm

But any person buying an OLED should be wary of Games.. LG does not cover Burn-in on their warranty! If burn-in happens they say its due to your miss use of TV

  36. N Neal on January 7, 2021 at 8:30 pm

Can you even get a TV that is not "smart"? Why is a smart TV needed when so many of us use Firestick or Roku? and have cut the cord. Seems like lot of money for redundancy. What can you buy when you don’t want to spend so much?

  37. George Lyronis on January 7, 2021 at 8:30 pm

I just got a 58 inch jvc roku for 240 on black Friday i hope its good

  49. steven belcher on January 7, 2021 at 8:48 pm

CX is not good for gaming at 30 fps. Judder is just horrible. I’m returning mine and getting the superior lcd tech for 30 fps which is the standard for most games that will be on PS5. Even current gen games like spiderman run at 30 fps with raytracing on. When graphics start to get pushed, frame rates won’t be supporting 120 fps. 120 fps on ps5 is not great as it takes the image quality back to ps4 standards to achieve it on cross gen games. Next gen games form the ground up will be too demanding to make any use of this.
