How good is an ATOTO a6 pro or S8 Pro compared to the radios on this list?
Not so sure about the Sony as it’s missing wireless Android Auto. So looking like the Pioneer is best choice for me. Had my 03 Grand Cherokee for over a decade. Time to upgrade as I’ll probably have it a few more years. Pioneer W4660NEX looks to fit fairly well with some modifications. Don’t really care if the stock tossed out because I’m betting this Jeep will be sent to the trash heap when finish with it. As a family member stated a while back, "You drive your cars into the ground". Yes, I do. Had my 95 Explorer for nearly 10 years. Jeep will last about same. New Jeeps just aren’t built the same.
Pioneer
Those Sonys w/ built in Amps are no joke!….they push 42 RMS @ 4ohms on the Steve Meade Amp Dyno😎…no need for a 4 channel, choose wisely!
What do y’all Recommend for a 16 Altima, great output sound for some infinity speakers???
Hello! Excellent video! I have a question: Alpine ILX 207, Kenwood DMX907S or KENWOOD DMX957XR, which of these 3 models offers me a better experience in connectivity with android and apple, and in playing videos and music, which one offers me a better experience and quality? I have seen in other videos and it seems that the alpine models are a bit more fluid in operation, but it is just an impression, I am not sure … Which of those 3 models suits me? Here in my country alpine is the least commercial brand and the ILX 207 costs less than the other kenwood models that are also not very commercial. I hope you can help me.
Can you recommend a wireless unit for uk? Thanks
i’ve bought 3 different styles of the dual stereos on amazon with apple carplay and they have all been great for under or close too $200 if you need better sound than a dual stereo just get a amplifier. probably still cheaper than a sony kenwood etc.
Love your videos! I have a 2016 Tundra. On a budget, but looking to upgrade to a Android auto- I want wireless. Any recommendations?
I’m trying to find the loud and clear sounding radio anybody can help me out ??
That Pioneer one is badass, I just wish it was steering wheel control compatible. Wireless CarPlay is huge at least for me.
I need 2 Alpine’s For my 2 Lincoln Towncar Executive Series, 1997, 2001, i want to replace my old tired Alpine Cd player from the early 2000’s i think, it came with the car, i got The Alpine w960 in my 2001, I WANT A BIGGER SCREEN, the last Alpine I got from you guys was the w505 back in 08 or 09 i forget, for about $1500 i think it was, with the bluetooth and steering wheel controls, it was installed in a 04 towncar, Oh i need an alarm for my 01 as well
Ooh yeh pioneer it is
I love these! But I would like to see a "Best car stereo for specific cars" video. Because some radios work and look better in some cars, but not others.
Does the Pioneer have the ability to switch to Google Assistant instead of Alexa?
I would Pick The M865BW or the kenwood, I own The M740bt currently and I want car play so I will probably go with one of the two, just add the serial for the new one into my maestro and im set
Great video, thank you. I went with the JVC. More features and it’s basically an all-in-one. One important feature to mention: the JVC touchscreen is resistive rather than capacitive. That’s preferable because it’s responsive when wearing gloves. Capacitive (like our cell phones) looks and feels better to the touch, but if you’re wearing gloves (working in construction) resistive is the way to go.
So the higher the voltage of the head unit the better the sound? Right
I sell KENWOOD, JVC, pioneer and Sony at my store. It’s JVC all day, but that being said we focus as much as we can on hifi audio and 5v preouts are a must. Every pioneer customer is practically required to get a line driver. Lol.
I like jvc
I’m in between the pioneer and jvc
Are detachable face not in anymore ??
Boss audio, $200 when I bought it and works great
Im leaning towards pioneer, jvc or kenwood. Which one would you recommend for 06 mercedes E350? And do you guys sell harness & mounting kit for that car? Im gona be using the stock amp & speakers & would like to still use steering wheel controls
awesome video!
Does the Pioneer support your back up camera???
1st thing to do is toss the Kenwood & JVC in the trash. And after 6 months of using the "Wired" Android Auto I would’ve gladly paid for the wireless. BUT Android Auto is a hunk of shit anyway so pay more and just get a unit with the NAV built in. Or switch to an Android head unit
I have Sony 7000 and my android auto sometime turn off and on again without touching my phone, any help on that?
How can I make it stable?
Btw, my phone is Samsung S20
This guy looks like Grant Hill , great vid
Can someone explain how the wiring for Android auto works, is the USB on the back end kf the unit then have to be fed through the trim of the car
Hi. Could you please tell me the differences between the JVC kw865 and the JVC kw650? Thank you in advance for any and all information!
Alpine is the king here however pioneer never failed to deliver… running pioneer PREMIER SETUP (rear end) with a high volt pioneer receiver… been looking for breathing space ever since
Here’s a list that helped me out.

In the end, I went with #6.

I currently have a Pioneer in my car right now. It came with wired Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It’s been about 2 or 3 years now. After owning it for a year there must have been some sort of update and one day when I started up my car I no longer needed to plug in the USB into my phone for Android Auto. It just became wireless but was still very buggy. It still is buggy and unit keeps restarting itself when I am driving. I hate the screen as it is a resistive screen. So now I am wanting to upgrade. Really liked the JVC until you said it has a resistive screen. Not sure which to go for? Should I just go with the Pioneer again and hope for the best?
Can you tell me brother sony xav ax 3000 is a good choice over pioneer and jvc models ?
What deck is great that’s having active crossover and time aLIGNMENT like Minidsp
I bought a Boss BVCP 9700A for $140. I’m really happy. It has apple/android auto..
Alpine had the worse layout lol LOOK SO DATED! Like they made it in 2003. No wireless CarPlay? Man. Pioneer takes the cake.
Great video–thanks! I do wish you would have noted if they have builtin GPS.
What about the next higher price range?
The only con that I would add to all those stereos is that, for the price range at least give CD and DVD playback
I have the Sony AX 7000 and am going to connect a Kicker Hideaway 10", So I should only connect either the left or right rear channel speakers to the Kicker? The kicker gives me the option to connect to rear speakers or buy RCA adaptor then to use a Y splitter into the single sub output.
bruh! pioneer had direct sub driving din 1/2 back in the early 2000s
Great vid, thank you.
Music in the background? Good video!
Does anybody know if you are able to replace the stock Headunit in a 2017 Infiniti QX50, with an aftermarket Double Din like the Kenwood from the video? Typically, I am able to find a yes you can answer for my past cars with Aftermarket stereo installs, but for some reason I can’t seem to for this Infiniti QX50.
What do you recommend for a Honda Civic standard 2020
Alpine. Just because I’ve had a bunch of alpine decks. And only a few of any other brand. Current is an ilx f259 that replaced a kenwood exelon kdc 300 which would be my second choice for a stereo.
I think I’m going to go with the kenwood dmx 7706s with the idatalink maestro kit for my 2011 camaro.
