I always use a screen protector and case with my phones- so the chance of me actually breaking it is pretty low. However, I’ve had at least three phones now that have failed internally. And anymore you’ll find the battery is not user replaceable- and batteries don’t last forever. So for me, it made sense to pick up the insurance. But then I usually try and hold onto the same model phone for quite a while. Doubt this applies to iPhone fans though 😋

If you have health insurance, car insurance, why not phone insurance? It’s cheaper to replace the phone through insurance than buying the phone out and restarting. Warranty is for factory purposes. This is with any phone carrier.

  3. Shawn Brasuell on July 24, 2021 at 8:55 pm

youve had it for 6 months already?

  4. Eddizz Dayz on July 24, 2021 at 8:57 pm

Tbh the only reason I purchase insurance is because of just in case it’s lost or stolen. A case & screen protector helps a lot on the protection front. That Samsung premium care doesn’t cover lost or stolen.

  5. Cameron Weldon on July 24, 2021 at 8:58 pm

Can you still get samsung care if your screen is already cracked

  6. Denis Qamili on July 24, 2021 at 9:02 pm

Can you send me this video lock screen (blu sea wawe) like in this video please!

  7. Eclectic Gentleman on July 24, 2021 at 9:06 pm

I have a note 20 ultra with Samsung premium care +. When I called about my broke screen they gave me asurion’s phone number. I called them and they told me $229

Like you essentially say is phones are investment not a toy. Great video. Agreed

That glass smashing opening intro sound 👏 😄

  10. TacticalPower88 on July 24, 2021 at 9:09 pm

Obviously breaking or losing your phone sucks but the blow isn’t too bad if you score a sub $200 deal on a previous flagship with a functional inexpensive case/screen protector from eBay. LG phones in particular are always underappreciated despite being good phones so you can find great deals on their previous flagships all over the place.

I am TOTALLY a fan of cracked screens. I have a phone payment of $45 a month. And every time I look at that cracked screen knowing I still owe $500 on it, I feel something special in my heart. My phone rep didn’t offer me a screen protector or phone insurance when I bought it. Must be because I told him I only wanted the phone and ‘accidents never happen to me. I’m good with my phones.’ Later at a Starbucks someone bumps into me and my phone crashes onto the tile floor. I’ll have a busted phone with my Mocha please. 😳

Nice, Samsung latest phones are very expressive now.👍🔥

  13. Mark Anthony Valentine on July 24, 2021 at 9:14 pm

So when you say LCD replacement, do you mean that they replaced your AMOLED screen with an inferior LCD screen? I always see online stores or repair stores refer to their screens as LCD replacement screens. Make me completely skeptical if actual OEM parts are being used on my devices.

No insurance for smartphone. Waste of extra money.

  17. PhillyDjHook on July 24, 2021 at 9:18 pm

Oh, I cover my back glass with *Liquid Armor,* once a year. They put it on at Staples here in the East Coast. My glass can’t be scratched. It’s a billion times better than a plastic cover. You should try it Brett.

  21. Ivy K on July 24, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I mean I have a coverage of my home insurance for this ( also when I’m outside) it’s cheaper than getting a separate insurance. ( I’m from the Netherlands) 11 dollars is so expensive imo. My home insurance for my small apartment is legit 22 euros a month.

I have a question why don’t do you do you Apple Video and teach them how to set up iPhone

  23. DAZZ__ on July 24, 2021 at 9:33 pm

I haven’t had insurance on my phones for the past 5 years. I am careful, and I have badass phone cases.

  26. kenfrancis117 on July 24, 2021 at 9:34 pm

Good thing I bought the premium care for the Note 20 Ultra. But also got the Whitestone Dome and Spigen case as extra insurance

  28. PhillyDjHook on July 24, 2021 at 9:37 pm

Ouch, you broke your Ultra? I have the same phone 📱. I’m coming from the S7. I’m surprised the Ultra doesn’t have the *Answer or reject calls by voice* feature. And I broke my S7 glass back in April and UBREAKIFIX charged me $330.00 to fix it. I can’t belive they charge the same price for the Ultra. I pay $15.00 a month ($30.00 if you add my wife’s Ultra.) I think 🤔 if I add that monthly payment and the deductible, I don’t have to pay the insurance. I can just save money into a separate account to cover the losses 📉. The only thing about insurance is, it covers me if it’s loss or stolen.

What has your experience been with smartphone insurance? Are there any other options I should try?

  31. TampaTec on July 24, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Im Interested in this topic, 👍. I always buy Amazon phones at least 1 year old so saves me few hundred dollars. I don’t like samsung edge phones they break easier than flat screen phones even with cases.

  32. JON BUQAJ on July 24, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Brett is your phone display still amoled?!

  33. Aditya Gauba on July 24, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Why am I watching this video….I hv so many phones (I mostly buy previous year’s phones used) and usually keep a phone for 7-10 months… except my iPhone 11 which I bought brand new and therefore plan to keep it for much longer….

  34. Finylin on July 24, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Just to let you know, your promo code says it’s invalid on Samsung website. Idk if others have this problem, but I did. Double checked my spelling like 6 times confused as heck!

  35. TheTechChannel 1 on July 24, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I purchased my iPhone X broken with a broken screen (white line and black spot) it works fine! I (it also has a badly cracked back) . But I don’t have warranty and I want to get it repaired. It will cost $830 to replace everything (screen and back) 270 for the screen (which is worth it) and the back will cost 500. My advice is to get insurance for your phone because of the expensive repair cost.

  36. Average Joey on July 24, 2021 at 9:50 pm

They’re also getting cheaper. Just buy a cheaper phone.

  37. Rainbow Cookie on July 24, 2021 at 9:51 pm

As long it doesn’t affect the performance I don’t care

  38. Vaibhav G on July 24, 2021 at 9:52 pm

In case of event if you are okay to downgrade to budget phone costing around $300.00 then do not buy insurance…
