Could you do a video on breaking in subwoofers? Is it necessary? If so, how do we do it? Do it for the noobs bro…

  2. Davy Pig on November 10, 2021 at 12:45 pm

I canโ€™t say enough about how good Crutchfield is. From their product selection to excellent website to awesome people working there. The only negative Iโ€™ve ever had is the price is not always the lowest. You can always wait for a sale but buying elsewhere may not be factory authorized.

  3. Jose Alvarez on November 10, 2021 at 12:46 pm

Hello Mark I have 2 of JBL gto components and 2 subwoofer 12 400 Rms each
I want to know which amplifier I can use
In my 2020 toyota corolla try to keep my stock stereo
    Please let me know
I like the LC-6.1200 let me know if this amplifier is good for my set up

  4. Aqua on November 10, 2021 at 12:46 pm

I must say I really enjoy your videos. Crutchfield may be great for customers in the US but not for me and other living in Europe. You are suggesting amplifiers with an built in DSP. How do you configure two or more amplifiers with DSP in them? Can you connect them together and tune just one DSP for all amps? I think it seems to be better to have just one DSP connected to the rest of your amplifiers.

  5. Greg Rivera on November 10, 2021 at 12:46 pm

Thanks for the tips. Very informative video and I learned a few things tonight.

  6. Tyler Fitzgerald on November 10, 2021 at 12:47 pm

Would love to see a kinda expanded version of this of hooking up multiple amps to run a system. Like a mono amp for a sub and then a separate 4 channel combo instead of just doing a 5 channel that has a mono out for a sub. Other then that I love the videos and I learn a lot every time!

  7. Dionne on November 10, 2021 at 12:48 pm

Can you do a review on Sound Digital amps. I bought a 4 channel 1200.4 amp thinking it would push 300 watts to each speaker but that rating online was based on a 2ohm load not 4ohm which reduced the speakers on my Harley to 198 watts. there specs are kinda confusing for a novice like myself. LOL!!!

  8. Robert Smith on November 10, 2021 at 12:48 pm

As always so much fantastic info. You, Dean and Fernando are God sends to DIYers!! Thank you Mark!!

HEY I NEED HELP. Jeep owners who have installed subwoofers. With the top off and doors off how does it sound? Id like to know your setup too if you all could leave it below for me. Im trying to help my girlfriend out with this and here is my thought. I prefer ported but I think a sealed box would do better if you had no doors or top. She will probably end up with 2 10s but the question is would sealed or ported be better without the doors or top. Please tell me what you know all info would help. Thanks

  11. Mark Maese on November 10, 2021 at 12:50 pm

Hey Mark, do you think it’s alright to slightly exceed a subs or speakers power rating because of losses in efficiency and/or from auto voltage (14.4 to 12.5)?

  12. a G on November 10, 2021 at 12:51 pm

Yoo bro i have a question can you answer them ?

  13. Thu Haze on November 10, 2021 at 12:51 pm

I think the new question is going to be how many amps a amp draws per output. Going to run our battery down in our nรฉw electric cars. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  14. Andrew Lane on November 10, 2021 at 12:57 pm

Mark, crunch fields great except you’ve also got to remember that us in the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง or euro market can’t get the lowdown using crunch field. As it doesn’t have the list of our cars. But fantastic channel and very imformative.

  15. W on November 10, 2021 at 12:59 pm

I really need to stop watching these video lol makes me want to upgrade my factory system in my VW ๐Ÿ™ˆ great videos though, really good explanation and not forgetting craftsmanship. I enjoy watching the videos so will watch some more ๐Ÿ˜Š

  17. Brandon on November 10, 2021 at 1:02 pm

So which brand? I’m leaning on Jl Audio or Kenwood

  18. B12Row on November 10, 2021 at 1:04 pm

I pick and installed a Kicker KX 400.4 amp and upgraded all 4 speakers and tweeters in my truck. Everything worked when I started my truck up but today was the first time I actually drove my truck, once I started to drive I had no sound, the amp must have shutoff. Come to a complete stop put the truck in park amp work. I rethinking that my grounds are not that great. To have it work in park and not in drive???

  19. CARLITOโ€™S WAY on November 10, 2021 at 1:05 pm

Do you recommend a graphic equalizer or just go off the head unit 13 band eq? Nice video

  20. Bobby Singh on November 10, 2021 at 1:06 pm

    Hi Mate.
Was looking at updating my wifeโ€™s car sound system. Itโ€™s 2013 Holden Captiva 7 seater. The car has a tweeter and a woofer as well as a passive crossover in each 4 doors.
Making it 8 speakers ๐Ÿ”Š in the 4 doors.
My question is will a 4 Chanel amp do the job if I am looking at connecting them trough an amplifier or will I need a more Chanel amplifier?
    Thanks. Bob

i need 6000 watts dsp ampli is theres?

  25. Sotero Gonzalez on November 10, 2021 at 1:11 pm

I wish stereo shop employees would explain everything like this. Itโ€™s a shame that they usually want to sell you the most expensive equipment even at the cost of your car sounding like crap.

  26. mspider12 on November 10, 2021 at 1:12 pm

1, do the big 3 upgrade. 2, check fq range of speaker and sub. 3, build enclosure using specs from speaker and use poly fill.4,check fuse size of amps rating. MUltiple 12 x the fuse size to see how much power the amp can really pull.

  27. WARZONE on November 10, 2021 at 1:14 pm

  29. Drunken Hamster on November 10, 2021 at 1:16 pm

So… I need a 12 channel amp just for doors if I wanna do a 3-way component? Would you even recommend a 3-way component front AND rear?

  30. Red Ciroc on November 10, 2021 at 1:17 pm

What do you think about Rockford punch p3d4 12s subs?

  31. David Perry on November 10, 2021 at 1:18 pm

I’m glad I picked the Sony XM GS4 for my Sony Mobile ES speakers. The 100 dB S/N ratio, %0.05 THD, class AB topology, and high-quality Japanese capacitors and transistors are very attractive specs. The awesome sparkling crisp sound quality is the proof that’s in the pudding and puts a big smile on my face. I’m considering a Crescendo Symphony amp for a Fi Neo 3.5 12 inch sub with stage 3 cooling inductance mounted in a sealed box so I can get powerful yet clean bass to fully complement the system.

  32. Red Ciroc on November 10, 2021 at 1:20 pm

I have 6 coaxial speakers and a 4 channel amp I wanted to tab in the factory harness on my classic 81 eldorado without bose can I do that?

  33. Austin Breed on November 10, 2021 at 1:21 pm

Ok I have 2 12 inch jbl cx 1000watt subs what amp do I get

  34. Rayton White on November 10, 2021 at 1:23 pm

I wish someone could help me. I have a 2019 impala premier. Long story short Iโ€™ve already completely upgraded everything. 3 amps and a yellow top battery in the back. My troubling question is I have a PAC Audio amp pro GM 61, I believe, which ever one works for the Bose system and my question is I have to turn my front and rear amp down because I have a continuous shhhhhhhh sound like when your TV is turned all the way up and thereโ€™s nothing playing, that static sound that you get. Not a crackling sound but just that quiet sound. I have been told itโ€™s called white noise. I know there is someone out there that can help me fix this problem. Pac audio told me to switch the little voltage button on the unit and it did drop the static sound a little bit but it is still there. I need to figure out the problem so that I can turn my amps up. There should be no sound coming out of those speakers till the music is turned on. Can someone please help me.

  35. TACOMASRT5 on November 10, 2021 at 1:28 pm

I have a Grand Marquis. It has a 8" hole by the rear window for the factory sub which my car didn’t come with. I’m looking at an infinity kappa free air 800watt 1600wat max sub woofer, and a pioneer 1000 watt amp. Is this enough? Or a good or bad setup? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  36. Blufey29 on November 10, 2021 at 1:29 pm

I’m only running a single ’12 wiffer in my build

  37. CaptainCobra45 on November 10, 2021 at 1:29 pm

Some people mention turning off their cars and their sub/amp drains their battery. How do I prevent this? Will it automatically turn off?

  38. Xavier Magana on November 10, 2021 at 1:30 pm

What amp would you recommend for the Kenwood KFCโ€‘C6866S? 4 channels

  39. D Mod on November 10, 2021 at 1:30 pm

Am I able to use a 4 channel amp on for two speakers, just using two channels and leave the other two channels free for now? Thanks

You have a way of explaining things so as not to cause confusion. This particularly important on this subject because there are conflicting opinions on this and getting it right is really important. Stay safe mates!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ท

Thank you for your videos. Iโ€™ve learned so much from them. Question about amps. Iโ€™m a sound quality kind of person. Iโ€™ve went with two down firing 10โ€ utopia m subwoofer. What amplifier do you recommend. Is it better for each woofer to have its own amp? Iโ€™m not looking to save money. Iโ€™m on a Chevy Silverado. Thank you sir.
