MY FAVORITE COOKWARE | best pots and pans worth the money (on black friday and cyber monday)

The best cookware worth the investment is durable, non-toxic and lasts a lifetime. My favorite brands of cookware from All Clad, Staub, Le Creuset and Lodge check all these boxes, and are made from materials including stainless steel, cast iron, class and ceramic.

Investing in cookware is like investing in the best Vitamix or other kitchen appliance. It may cost more money upfront, but it more than pays for itself over the long-haul.

So today, I wanted to deep dive into my cookware and chat about the different pots and pans I use the most, why I love them and why they’re worth investing in (or not investing in). This post isn’t sponsored by any of the brands you see highlighted, I’m just sharing what I truly love and use in the kitchen.

GREAT analyse of different material cookwares. the most healthy material is S/S cookware. all the other all cover with coatings. enamel coating/non-stick coating/ceramic coating/preseason coating… i had use to been in the cooware manufacture business before. pre-season coating will be the worst. in EU. it can not pass LFGB.
but in USA FDA is accept by some parts of the test result.
For the utensil, i prefer use wood or bamboo.for non stick cookware.it is much safety for food contact. as there differnent grade of silicone. heat-resisten mostly only up to 180~230 degrees.

Thank you so much!💖 I’ve been struggling for months trying to figure out what kind of cookware to get. I ordered a Scanpan Es5 non-stick cookware set & I got it right before Thanksgiving. The first time I used it it scratched even though the manufacturer said I could use stainless steel utensils, and put in the dishwasher. However, I did neither but somehow they still scratched almost every piece in a couple of weeks. Since they had a 60 day return policy, I decided to return them. It was a pain boxing them back up again, but I’m glad I did. I got a full refund @$500. (on sale from $1000). So, I wanted to get a safe nonstick set, but I couldn’t find one without any harsh chemicals, and just today I thought I’m going to go with stainless steel. So this video came at a PERFECT time! I am so glad I came across it! Thank you so much!!!!💐⚘
    P.S. I subscribed to your channel!🤗

  22. Leslie Smith on February 17, 2021 at 9:31 pm

Do you have any tips regarding how to cook on stainless pans without oil? Most of the time I only use nonstick because I’m minimizing the use of oil which isn’t healthy to use

What is your feeling on hard anodized?

  29. Gaylen Delcambre on February 17, 2021 at 9:36 pm

I never use metal cooking utensils in my cookware because it will damage the interior surfaces. I use silicone or wood exclusively. I own lots of cookware, both high-end and less pricey choices. My least favorites are All Clad and my collection of stainless because it requires an excessive amount of oil in order to have less sticking. Enameled cast iron, all brands, work equally well for me. I prefer le creuset because it’s slightly lighter in weight which means that I’m less likely to have a heavy pot slip out of my grip during cleanup. My favorite all around choice is the Calphalon hard anodized cookware that has no nonstick coating. I’m not sure this type is available any longer – mine are from the 70s and I’ve kept them in excellent condition. I do use nonstick coated cast aluminum skillets, stock pots, and stew pots. The brand I like best is Carote. I’m careful not to overheat before adding food and only use silicone utensils during cooking, but I do the same with all of my cookware. Another favorite is cast iron. I have my grandmother’s and my mom’s old skillets and Dutch ovens.
I allow all cookware to cool before washing in hot soapy water, cast iron, too, and drying well before storage.
Cookware choices are best made depending on the style and types of foods you prepare. I live in south Louisiana Cajun region, and my cooking needs are completely different from most other regions. I started my cookware collection in 1970, and I’m still adding pieces. I really love cooking! ❤️

    Isn’t stainless steel toxic

  35. Rita K on February 17, 2021 at 9:43 pm

I made a list of non stick pots and pans that I wanted and you convinced me to try stainless steel. I got a couple all-clad pieces for Christmas and I LOVE them! I also got cast iron griddle and it’s amazing. Both make food taste so much better when comparing to food made with nonstick cookware. I’m also so happy that these pots and pans will last a lifetime and I won’t need to replace as often as nonstick cookware. THANK YOU!

  36. Downshiftology on February 17, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Hi guys! I hope you enjoy this review of my favorite cookware. I’d love to hear what cookware you use the most and why you love it (I love finding new brands!). I went out and bought All Clad pots and pans to replace all my non stick after seeing this video and I love them! I do have a question about cleaning them, I cooked beans and it left a cloudy residue, I tried boiling water with vinegar but it didn’t take it all off. What do you use to keep them from staining and/or cleaning them?

  38. Nono Zebra on February 17, 2021 at 9:45 pm

Of course all the expensive brands!!!!

  39. Diane Diehl on February 17, 2021 at 9:46 pm

You are so correct stainless steel. Best and not coated with chemicals… safe and healthy. Im in my 70’s and have my mother’s cast iron!! lol

  44. Altitude Is Everything on February 17, 2021 at 9:55 pm

FYI, the Le Creuset enamel tests a bit high on lead content. Staub scores much better on that, and Lodge Dutch ovens are an even healthier choice.

  45. Chi & Pitbulls Lives matter on February 17, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Wow: thanks for the info on non-stick. I use to think they were awesome. Knowing the minuses I definitely will pay more attention to this. What do you think about the "blue diamond" pans. I’ve used a few and love them bc I can put in dish washer w/ no problems afterwards. I believe they are not supposed to chip, I may be wrong bc I just threw one fry pan away due to little tiny specks of it that have come loose, I guess. You can feel it and see it if you look closely. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks for any info you can share w/me.

  46. Kevin Belue on February 17, 2021 at 9:57 pm

I invested in a set of KitchenCraft years ago, haven’t regretted it but they make All Clad look like a bargain. Look into carbon steel as well. Love my lodge skillets and can be had for 40 bucks. DeBuyer also excellent. Non stick I use Volrath CeramiGuard. I use no nonsense restaurant equipment for utensils, primarily Volrath or Dexter Russell and a set of wood utensils from World Market.

  47. Karen Kerr on February 17, 2021 at 9:59 pm

Black cast iron is the gold standard. No respect for cooks/chefs who don’t use it.
