I wanna thank you for all the knowledge Ive picked up since subscribing to your channel. I pretty much watch this channel just aout everyday and some videos 2-3 times. I have a 300 with Beats Audio and I have had the beats audio removed and replaced the 6×9โ€™s with 6.5โ€™s and replaced the factory with 3.5โ€ with some new ones. I have added a 15โ€ kicker L7 4 ohm sub. I purchased the LC2i because at the time I figured it would work but Im missing sound. Im running a sub amp and an midrange amp but my rcaโ€™s wont work together. Its either one or the other to get sound and Im only able to use one channel on my highs amp. Ive been told I should have purchsed an 8 channel LC but at this point my trust is shot. If I could get any input I would be grateful. I would hate to have to pay a chunk to get everything redone. Thanks in advance.

  19. Nathaniel Taylor on December 21, 2020 at 7:52 pm

If I have bose factory amplifier and dont want bypass just add a amp and subwoofer. Would tapping into the 6ร—9s with the lci2? If so would I tap the line before or after the factory amplifier?

  20. Paulo on December 21, 2020 at 7:54 pm

Help. Do you leave the amp at the same frequency/settings or change it when using an Epicenter? I have a few songs that sounded way better before the epicenter. Iโ€™ve already tried testing various settings on the epicenter and I canโ€™t get those songs to sound good like they used to.

I think it’s safe to say AudioControl spends A LOT of money on R&D (maybe too much!)

Why is the Epicenter Plus Discontinued? Seems like an awesome product. If they’re still making the Epicenter, why not the plus? Does it offer too much amazing functionality that competes with a different product they want to sell us additionally? Seems really well made. Like if I buy one of the few that are still available, it will last.

  28. Nathan Capestany on December 21, 2020 at 8:04 pm

Great breakdown. This was worth every cent. Wait I didn’t pay for it. I feel like I should have. Keep up the great work.

I’m interested in learning more about how to integrate a fiber audio system and an aftermarket set up.

  35. Ramos on December 21, 2020 at 8:09 pm

Would you still need an epicenter if you go with a DSP amp such as the D6-1200 or the JL Vxi amps?

  36. Brandon Lee on December 21, 2020 at 8:10 pm

AC R&D Team: 2 Things: I wish the LC7i’s "Accu Bass" freq range starts lower than 20 Hz, like 10 or 15 Hz. Only then a lot of "Bassheads" would be inclined to take advantage of AccuBass now that more and more newer vehicles come with a high-end touchscreen factory radio such as on my Ford Edge. I also would like for the AccuBass to be optional for the other channels because now that I’ve upgraded my door speakers (mid-bass), I’d like to make up for the bass roll-off in them as well. I’m talking to you AudioControl R&D team! =]

Wait, do I need a LOC if I use an Epicenter? Does the Epicenter act like a LOC?

  38. Felipe Iturra on December 21, 2020 at 8:12 pm

Hi man, thanks for teaching us about all this wonderful thing called car audio. I have a question, i recently bought a lc7i to keep my factory system, is any problem to wired the lc7i from the dash to the truck with 18 gauge wires, i see and i wanna pick a metra-mc918, 9 wires with cover with the same colors for 4 main speakers and a blue for remote. If that not work, what is the best opcion ? Thanks again !!!

Whatโ€™s the different in having an EQ letโ€™s say on your phone using Spotifyโ€™s band EQ vs preamp EQ?

  41. Pritpal Loi on December 21, 2020 at 8:17 pm

Hey Hi Mark, I am new to car audios and have Acura RDX 2019. I have Skar RP-1500 watt amplifier and EVL 1250 RMS Sub with a peak 2500 watt both balanced at 1-ohm Impedance. I want to get it installed in my car but not sure if I need to upgrade the OEM ALTERNATOR. I am okay with an additional battery if required. I was watching your video and expecting you to show & explain that part too if needed and what other ways to upgrade with keeping default ALTERNATOR.

  42. Colton Sanford on December 21, 2020 at 8:17 pm

Thoughts on AudioControl v. Rockford Fosgate for this equipment category?

  43. Muhammad Ali on December 21, 2020 at 8:18 pm

So essentially I can either use LC2i and epicenter or simply go for epicenter plus and get the same quality of sound? (I am using the factory head unit).

  44. theimmaculatecrown on December 21, 2020 at 8:18 pm

Great video! You explained everything I wanted know and more.

  45. Na Baddame on December 21, 2020 at 8:18 pm

Just to clarify the order these components go, so from factory head unit would be line out converter to equalizer to crossover to amplifier?

What if I wanted to add the epicenter into the components listed above? What would the order be? The epicenter right after the crossover and before the subwoofer amp?

  48. Henk De Kul on December 21, 2020 at 8:27 pm

if you need a EQ you dont have the setup you want/need.

  49. Dj Acemoney on December 21, 2020 at 8:29 pm

Would you still need to use a Line output converter when using the amplifier with the built in DSP? Or can you go from the factory speaker wire straight to the amp?

  50. Alex DelGuercio on December 21, 2020 at 8:30 pm

Thank you so much, Mark. Your videos have taught me all I know about car audio. It appears The Epicenter functionality is not built in to the DSP. Is it as simple as connecting the RCA subwoofer outputs from the DSP into The Epicenter and The Epicenter outputs into the sub amp?
