Iam going with ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3060ti founders edition ( if can find one) 1 tb harddrive (no money for ssd to make room for monitor) simple Air cooling no AIO is my build right?
Will be mainly playing Fortnite competitively.

  6. OdinAlgeron on March 8, 2021 at 10:42 pm

    3300x for entry level

    10600k for mid tier

10850k for high end/ most gamers and games max fps builds

5950x for specific use case in certain games for max fps with proper tweaking

amd setups 3600 mhz ram kits with lowest cl possible ( due to fabric limitations going higher has diminishing returns compatability issues )

intel setups 4000+ mhz ram, the faster the better some mobos support 5000 mhz, with lowest cl possible

im a little upset that a video about buying the best computer parts his sponsored by a computer part. a little bit worried about the bias happening here. other than that, thanks for the informational video!!

I started to tentatively disagree with you PC C at the 1 min 50 mark when you said you wouldn’t need a super powered PC for Civ 5 but you would for cyberpunk. Like you I look at the whats on the market vs my wish lists of wants, and I’m starting to think the bottle necks are in the software now and less so in the hardware. What I mean by that is when looking at new hardware what improvement do you see between the latest vs latest, and what I see is not a lot of FPS, or storage Gen 3 vs 4, or DDR4 speeds. Whilst in the past a 386 vs a 486, or 2GB RAM vs 4GB the difference was you could play the game or couldn’t. Now it is +/- a few fps, a few seconds in load times.
I’ve yet to buy all the parts, but CPU seems more like buying for future needs than current demand, so AMD 5800 or higher for future demand because of core count rather than a 5600. Which means I’m betting software will use more cores in the future not remain as is.
PCi4 for future software data movement as PCi3 seems to be more than ok for what is used right now by the software. NVMe because it also will be explored more for improvements than SATA 3 SSD drives. (why isn’t there SATA 4, 5 and 6 yet? seems there should be room to improve SATA more). So why is PCi3 as good as PCi4? I’m thinking Software isn’t needing to send large enough chunks of info around to warrant PCi4 yet as a must have to play the product.
With GFx cards I am not even going to replace my current one. It is a Nitro+ VEGA 64 ( which is about equal to a 1080? in a AMD FX 8350 cpu and I can’t see it being too far behind 3 Gens of new GFX cards when ignoring gimmicks like ray tracing which isn’t perfected yet anyhow.
And then there are the added bonus of LAN, WIFI, Bluetooth, audio and LED bling on the MOBO
So what I am saying is a more powered PC to what I have now will shave a lot of load times off Civ 5 I think and improve my game satisfaction score, but will it really diminish my playing Cyberpunk if that was my in my game library? I’m thinking not really by any large marging, but then I’d need to see how it played now on my current PC I guess.
If you have money than now is not a great time to gather parts for a new PC, but if you are on a very low income like me then wait helps you to save for what you dream to have then buy when it is in stock
Sorry if I rambled, but that’s me throwing thoughts into the mix.

Great build video mate….if only half components your putting in was actually available to us mere mortals who don’t have the luxury to get "gifted" hardware from companies who don’t give two shits about how scalpers ruin the market while they reap the profit’s.

Hi bud. I have recently purchased a Rog strix z490 e gaming for my first build after admiring watching my son builders his pc … I was thinking of pairing it with a i9 10900k would this be a good match for playing games like world of tanks, war zone, acc.. all the current game play but also be able to do normal letters and printing , also if u know would this CPU work straight out the box or would the BIOS need to be updated before inserting the CPU .. would appreciate your time in reply thanks

I right now have a 650w corsiar psu to support my amd 2600x series processor and 1660ti amp edition GPU(nvidia) is it enough to support intel i7 and rtx3070 also???…
