Is it necessary to add a battery or will just running it off the converter be fine?

  2. Ellpepps96 on February 17, 2021 at 9:06 pm

Hi guys, i just wanted to know if i can connect two power supply (50 amps each) on one battery to power my car stereo at home…. will it charge 100 amp on the battery, will it work??

  3. mikes hobbie's and random stuff on February 17, 2021 at 9:06 pm

Where do I get the power supply?

I have a question, if anybody knows to answer I will be very pleased. Im planning to do the same thing, but has the mobile phone enough signal power to release the full potential of the amp? Because my amp is only 50×2 rms, and if the mobile phone signal is so weak, I wouldnt hear anything.
    Thanks in advance.

Perfect video I been looking for quick question where does the ground go to from the bus bar if I’m typing it correctly ..

  6. Zachary Smith on February 17, 2021 at 9:07 pm

would the hc600 work as well or no its a $30 diffrence and what else can I use to charge the battery besides the very expensive powermax converter

  7. G-force on February 17, 2021 at 9:11 pm

Nice setup. If was mine I would separate those buss bars. I could see myself dropping a wrench or somehow bridging those with them that close.

  8. vivek William on February 17, 2021 at 9:12 pm

And sir how much volt can we connect to the battery

  9. iHateTexasToo on February 17, 2021 at 9:12 pm

using the 100 amp version; for a reliable/stable and cool (temp) system what would be your recommended max for an amplifier? I ask because I have a 500 watt Alpine mono and 4 channel lying around and was thinking of using just one of them but didn’t want the 500 watts to be a significant strain on the inverter/battery.

Im working on a similar build for my garage. I will be gutting an old school stereo console to mount everything in. Im using a component system with a 4ch 1,000 watt amp. I was looking at this exact same converter for my build. Ive seen mixed reviews on the powermax 100 amp. But, this is the 1st video or build ive seen where similar equipment is being used. How have you liked this converter? Does it seem to hold up so far? $180.00, want to make sure its not a waste of money….keep up with the great vids!

  11. Yellow rooster on February 17, 2021 at 9:12 pm

    Love this video very informative
I have the powermax 100 amp powering alpine 1200watt amp works great thanks for the inspiration

  12. George Moreno on February 17, 2021 at 9:13 pm

Isnt is dangerous to charge the car battery with 100 amps or does the battery charge at its own amperage nomatter how much is connected to?

  13. vivek William on February 17, 2021 at 9:16 pm

Sir can I connect a computer power supply 12volts 44amps. all the yellow and black wires together and connect the battery and then the amp does it causes any damages to the battery of a 35 ah

  14. Franky6.6 on February 17, 2021 at 9:17 pm

do you guys build sub boxes for trucks ?

  15. Rigoberto Guillen on February 17, 2021 at 9:17 pm

Whatโ€™s the purpose of the battery in this scenario? Why not just use the powermax converter. Will it give you more power

  16. proengineering on February 17, 2021 at 9:19 pm

designs for battery chargers normally require you to limit the continuous current output to no more than 25% of battery Ah capacity…so for a 100 amp charger, battery should be no smaller than 400Ah when charging with no other loads on….your battery looks much smaller than that…..also doesn’t the converter cooling fan annoy you when listening to music?

  17. Samuel Emrit on February 17, 2021 at 9:21 pm

how your power supply have 3 fuse and the other have two

  18. Adam Craig on February 17, 2021 at 9:22 pm

Why use a battery? Doesn’t the 100 amp power supply provide enough power everything? Why even bother with the battery? Would a capacitor be enough to handle the spikes?

  19. Unlmtd Cuztomz on February 17, 2021 at 9:23 pm

hi. thats a really nice set up. good job. im building a tv stand with built in car amplifiers and speakers (the same set up that is used in a car). im planning on using the same powermax converter you are using, connected to a kinetik hc-600 battery to power up 3 rockford fosgate punch amps.(old school). my question to you is:

    * when you turn off the converter (in case you do). does the cooling fan in the converter stay on. since it is connected directly to battery ?

    i appreciate a reply. thanks.

Would look mean mounted on wall clear up bench space

  21. Erns O on February 17, 2021 at 9:25 pm

Can’t you skip the battery and connect the power converter straight to the bus bars?

  22. Gujjar Daksh Khatana on February 17, 2021 at 9:28 pm

    Nice so nice

  23. Juan Lozano on February 17, 2021 at 9:28 pm

Hello I know I’m late to the party, but will this power supply and battery be enough to power a kicker zx750.1?

  24. Transform on February 17, 2021 at 9:30 pm

Nice Job. How to you keep the ac to dc converter from overcharging the battery? thanks

I used an old factory Toyota CD/Tape player head unit but only needed a WallyWorld 110VAC down converter to 12VDC to drive the head unit, and used old Bose cubes as my speakers.

  32. LareDewayne on February 17, 2021 at 9:39 pm

where are you guys running the remote wire

  33. David Hakimi on February 17, 2021 at 9:41 pm

What is the purpose of the battery? If the power supply is plugged into constant wall power, isn’t the battery redundant? I’m building a similar setup, and wondering why the battery is necessary? Seems like you did an earlier version of this video, and the set-up seemed to work fine with no battery.

    great sounds sir

  36. Neto azul 97 on February 17, 2021 at 9:44 pm

Hello ! you can add more than one amplifier ? Thanks

  37. Mark Atkinson on February 17, 2021 at 9:45 pm

Just need parts list and pic of all the components involved. Some of that I won’t need. I also see that battery is laying on side so I don’t think it’s lead acid. I prefer to do this without battery. Is there a safe professional way to do that? Like I said I have questions sir.

  38. Dillon Persad on February 17, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I made this, it is powerful and it runs 2 amps, a double din stereo, crossover, and a preamp

  39. El Titon TheMusic on February 17, 2021 at 9:54 pm

I canโ€™t get the amp to turn on. Power supply turns on but no amp. Got the negative from the PS to the ground on the amp, is that wrong.? Also positive from PS to 12v+ on the amp. Can you help me out man thanks.

  40. Casey Gioe on February 17, 2021 at 9:59 pm

  41. C00L B3ANS on February 17, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Hey i know im a few years late, i have a similar settup. isnt voltage supposed to come down from 14.7? mine is doing the same thing. i have a powermax 100 amp, a 600 watt amp, and a 250 watt amp, with a headunit. now it doesnt fluctuate voltage like its supposed to. before i was just running the 600 watt amp and it would fluctuate between 13.2 and 13.6. but now its just a constand 14.7 and im a little concerned

  42. Piyush Suthar on February 17, 2021 at 10:02 pm

    Your amp is 1000watts RMS?

  43. Decimate The Weak on February 17, 2021 at 10:04 pm

I recently found my first headunit that was installed in my truck back in high school. Saw somewhere online about hooking a deck up in your home. Person was using a Xbox 360 power supply, but my busted Xbox was in a storage unit. Decided I’m done with fixing my older pc so I pulled the new recently installed PSU. Works well. Been wanting to build a simple racing cabinet, but now changing plans for a headunit instead of home theater system.
