   Slim chassis do not generate heat. The components do, it’s just that a slim chassis makes it harder to remove the heat from inside the laptop. Also the RTX 2060 in G14 is a Max-Q variant (65 Watts), which is a downgrade as a full powered GTX 1660ti (80 Watts) will offer better performances.

    I am currently using an 11 inch MacBook Air from 2011 and am going into college next year. While I’ve been recommended to get the MacBook Pro with the new M1, I do want something which can run games while I am not doing schoolwork, with decent battery life and strong gpu performance. My budget is about $1500-1600 so should I buy a new laptop now or wait for more 2021 models to come out? Any recommendations?

    So the reason the macbook air m1 isnt as fast as it seems is because most apps are x86 so only available on intel or amd, but the m1 uses rosetta 2 to decode and use those apps, and rosetta 2 is a little slower. Once these Apps are native to m1 itll be way faster
