I’m not sure if your tech savvy but does that mean we shouldn’t care about a monitor refresh and response time? I opted for 144 Hz and 1ms. Most screens similar to yours is 60 Hz with 5-10 ms. Does this matter?

I think the two 4k Monitors/TVs are a very good idea!, But do they hurt your eyes in any way?

Get yourself an used older workstation grade machine like a dell precision T model with a xeon with at least 3Ghz speed and 16GB-32Gb ram and many come with GPUs. This will cost you 1/3 the price of a brand new office PC.

The other day I got a dell precision T3600 E5-1660 6 core 3.4 GHz (upgradable to 12cores) cpu and 16GB ECC ram (upgradable to 64Gb) and a 1TB HDD… all this only cost me $230! It came with an Radeon fire pro 1Gb card 1Gb VRAM… not for games but for 2 monitors charts or basic autocad. I installed a GTX 1070Ti in it (pulled from my old Boxx workstation) and now this thing is hooked up to 3 vertical 24” monitors and 1 27 horizontal 27” monitors. It performs on the same level as a current AMD Ryzen pro 3400G (a $500 computer) but for 1/2 price with double the ram.
I plan to run software like bookmap, this software literally crashed my dell optiplex 4th gen i5 with 6 Gb of ram… the optiplex was fine for web based applications (if you don’t have many tabs open) but stuff like bookmap recommended over 4 cores and 16gig.

I tried a gifted core2duo on web based trading sites and the CPU was almost maxed out and the 4Gb of ram was not enough… I think an older i7 like a 3770 or it’s xeon equivalent and 16gig ram is at minimum for a smooth operating machine. You can add a cheap $50 GPU to connect multiple monitors no problem.

Hey Matt, Thanks for the info. My questions is, is that Tos your trading on and if so how are you entering your orders? I’m trying to buy a new setup but I’m not to computer smart. lol
