FOMO-you have just forgotten to consider equally important factor of sound quality . I have LG C8 OLED 65 . Highly satisfied with picture but very unhappy with fatiguing sound .

  2. gehuish on August 17, 2021 at 10:01 pm

    STOPPED MY FOMO. Thank you!

I finally came into some money and for the first time in a long time I’m able to splurge on something expensive. Last time it was my MSI laptop 2k later still love that computer but this time it was my living room tv another 2k got the LG-C1 and I feel so bad for people that can’t afford this set cause it’s so nice I almost don’t feel worthy of it. I’m finally in the 4K 120hz game and I picked OLED cause I wanted those blacks so good.

  5. The Fanriot on August 17, 2021 at 10:03 pm

Bought my A80J (A80CJ) from Costco, and I got the warranty free with the purchase. So the 2yr plus the Allstate 3 Years gives you 5 years of coverage. If buying a Sony, I would recommend buying at Costco.

I’m looking to upgrade my TV and currently running an 8 yr old plasma. Yes, a collector’s item 55" Panasonic plasma which actually still works like a charm. Located in a dark room, I’m considering the 65" LG C1. Think I’ll notice a difference in picture quality when watching movies or regular tv programming?

  7. Ardy Hagen on August 17, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Use case….streaming only, no gaming, old eyes are growing less sensitive so I would appreciate a brighter tv even in primarily dark room viewing

What are the trade offs for going from a 65 inch LG B8—- to a Hisense 65 inch H8J
I am thinking I would enjoy brighter colors and less crushed black

  8. cun7us on August 17, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Have to disagree with you on this one. I’m a first time OLED buyer and went for the C1 specifically because I wanted the game optimiser menu, but also because it has better HDR and much better SDR clarity thanks to the a9 Gen. 4 processor. In my opinion, it’s worth the extra money, however, if you’re already a CX owner then it’s not worth the upgrade.

Is hdmi 2.1 relevant to connect OLED tv to MacBook Air M1 with thunderbolt, I’m looking for color accuracy for video and image editing.

  17. PsimanUK on August 17, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Great video! Really useful information. Definitely helps when trying to decide which oled to buy

  18. Orwin Fernandes on August 17, 2021 at 10:17 pm

I have a 11 year old 60 inch LG plasma which suffers a bit in my very bright hall. What would be a great next step up? I really want 4K and HDR. Thanks.

  19. DevotedAssassin on August 17, 2021 at 10:18 pm

I went from a TCL 55 C8-Series to a LG 65 C1 and the difference is night and day! Playing my PS5 and PC on it has been amazing

I have a B7. The panel is amazing but motion processing is terrible. I really think I’m gonna go with a C1.

  23. Gva on August 17, 2021 at 10:23 pm

  24. Tony on August 17, 2021 at 10:23 pm

What would you recommend for someone coming from Panasonic ZT60 plasma ? Panasonic JZ2000 or A90J ?

  25. Gva on August 17, 2021 at 10:24 pm

What is ‘LG OLED Evo ‘ ? Is this low cost?

  26. Greg Heddington on August 17, 2021 at 10:25 pm

I like how you keep rubbing your F you finger while you promote the Sony.

  31. Wouter Bouman on August 17, 2021 at 10:32 pm

I am upgrading from a 2008 pioneer (kuro) plasma!

  32. GamingAllDay on August 17, 2021 at 10:34 pm

    Awesome review.
For new or will be LG G1 or C1 ask the way. Faster firmware update, gaming 120Hz, VRR…
    Plus more hdmi 2.1!

  33. Roger Halt on August 17, 2021 at 10:38 pm

I remember when the A9G was the king of TV all channels were raving about. The only differences between the 2020 and 2021 models are the full suite of HDMI 2.1 features. Processing power is negligible. The C9 was amazing when it released and still is today.
Each to their own but I have never had an OLED. So I would go for 2021 and keep it (hopefully) for 7 years.

  34. Justin Ballew on August 17, 2021 at 10:38 pm

    are those frames without lenses?

  35. David hill on August 17, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Hello, I recently made a decision to buy a A90J and reading your reviews and others. I am not sure how to ask a question, so I am trying here. I currently have a 65 inch Samsung and have my PC connected to it. The Samsung doubles as my PC monitor and main movie display. I am not sure how to set up my PC to prevent burn in. I can auto hide the taskbar, but I am not sure how to hide the top static images or should this be a concern?

  36. G. W. on August 17, 2021 at 10:43 pm

Just bought the Sony A80J 77" and the picture is awesome. Although I am having issues with the sound when connecting to my Onkyo Tx-Nr646. No rear surround sound, no sub is being detected? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

  37. Alfonso Hunt on August 17, 2021 at 10:43 pm

The Sony 2021 OLED models have Nextgen TV tuners that will allow you to receive 4K content over the air with an antenna. Something to consider.

    Ordered A80J 65"

  41. Harvy75 on August 17, 2021 at 10:49 pm

First time I see one of your video. Nice work!

  42. Ed Brumbaugh on August 17, 2021 at 10:51 pm

Great video, thank you. I ordered the 77” A80J last night to replace an 82” Q60T. After watching your informative videos, and a few others, the A80J impressed me as the model to buy in 2021. Sony has reduced the price by $500, so I jumped. For as good as the A90J is, I didn’t feel it was ultimately worth twice the price, for me. Thanks for all of the great videos, helps a lot in making these decisions.

  43. Anima a on August 17, 2021 at 10:53 pm

im about to buy a new TV ive been eye ballin the sonys and LGs but tbh I don’t find the sonys price friendly. So I’ve ended up buying the c1 for a really good price now I’m just waiting for it

  47. Nelson Beytía on August 17, 2021 at 10:56 pm

  48. Han Choi on August 17, 2021 at 10:57 pm

I just got a cx and I love it except one huge problem. Switch gaming. It looks horrible… it’s the only thing that looks visibly worse than my old pqx. I mean the colors look washed out and faded. Gaming on the switch with the cx seems less vibrant and bright compared to everything else I’ve tried with the cx. Is the a80j similar with the switch? I might just shell out the extra money for the a80j.

  49. Dan Bendas on August 17, 2021 at 10:57 pm

On my A80j sony tv While playing high quality 4k blueray content via pendrive (.m2ts format) the video is not playing smoothly,, like buffering after every 5 secs!!!!
