In the past… TVs changed at a stately pace
Now, the changes just keep coming

  2. MrSec84 on November 23, 2021 at 1:57 pm

Hisense does have 4K Mini-LED TVs in their range this year.

  3. 陳軒頎 on November 23, 2021 at 1:58 pm

    Where is TCL 2021 6 series 4k?

  4. Fernando S. on November 23, 2021 at 1:58 pm

Do you happen to know anything about the 2021 Hisense models having mini-LED? Just watched GadgetGuy’s interview with someone from Hisense. Hmmm hope that will be available in the U.S.

  5. Sean christian on November 23, 2021 at 1:59 pm

So are the 2021 tcl tvs gonna have hdmi 2.1?

  6. Don Mega on November 23, 2021 at 2:02 pm

8k it’s time to do away with 4k they been out long enough so 8k with all gaming specs in pro series vrr and maybe 144-240 frames which ps5 pro should do all this next year 2022 that’s when you buy

  7. Cyborg Soda on November 23, 2021 at 2:04 pm

Anybody getting green ghosting while gaming on the 55H9G?

what happend to …..My Dream TV Failed .What Oled Reviews dont tell you vidoe?

  9. Matthias Verbeure on November 23, 2021 at 2:05 pm

Good job from tcl and hisense. But it wil be available at the end of 2021.
I hope to buy a succesor of mini led or oled quality technology of today between the end of 2022 and the summer 2024… My panasonic plasma will be around 15 years old a that time.

Maybe in 2 years we will see mini led with at least 360×640 (or 230400) mini leds and around 57600 / 76800 zones. So each 3 or 4 minileds will be 1 zone.

  10. luis Gabriel on November 23, 2021 at 2:06 pm

  11. Nefff on November 23, 2021 at 2:07 pm

The LG CX for is not bright enough even in dark room. Which is why I’m looking in to mini led models

  12. Gerald Roof on November 23, 2021 at 2:07 pm

I enjoy the Fomo insight AKA Richard.

  13. Michael Angst on November 23, 2021 at 2:07 pm

TCL’S OD zero mini led 85 inch 8k tv for $3300 at launch or fuck off!

  14. PUNKem733 on November 23, 2021 at 2:09 pm

I heard that TCL has a secret TV they didn’t show at CES that is better then OLED. I wonder if it’s BS? I have no idea why anyone would by ANY LG LCD.

  15. Neil on November 23, 2021 at 2:10 pm

Where is your video with WhisperStatus?

  16. ZombieBrainism on November 23, 2021 at 2:11 pm

  17. MR.C&A Video911Game on November 23, 2021 at 2:11 pm

it better be 8k damn it

and it better have all of the hdr tech and next gen ports

  18. SpirallingOut on November 23, 2021 at 2:11 pm

4k@120Hz (or an 8k@60Hz TV with 4k@120Hz capability) when new-gen console gaming / 43"-55" / all HDMI 2.1 (Bonus points for a Displayport 1.4 with DSC – Double bonus points if it’s a 4K/144Hz-capable panel when PC gaming using DSC) / Freesync Premium Pro (Bonus points for G-Sync Ultimate) / VRR / ALLM / Dolby Vision HDR / 600 nits or brighter… Any of them or any monitors meet these specs? I doubt it. Although I hope FOMO, you can get your hands on ASUS’ 2021 XG43UQ to test & compare to something like an LG 48" CX.

  19. Kevin Taylor on November 23, 2021 at 2:12 pm

I can’t wait for the Samsung mini-led gaming tests

  20. ram64man on November 23, 2021 at 2:13 pm

Samsung 2016 2500 dimming zones in a full array, 2021 2500 dimming zones with mini led at twice the price, why upgrade

  21. Loki 76 on November 23, 2021 at 2:15 pm

12:53 Here is where you dive into SPECULATION and present it as FACT, like you so often do..
You cannot possibly say what will be better until they are out and can be tested..

  22. michael wong on November 23, 2021 at 2:15 pm

Disappointed by Sony not joining the miniLED party. Interesting to see how Samsung 4k miniLED vs TCL/Hisense 8k miniLED. Remember 8k will be dimmer than 4k, so Samsung has some advantage from the start.

  23. Koronet on November 23, 2021 at 2:17 pm

Thanks for the overview, I can’t wait for the test of the Samsung 4K mini-LED.

  24. Earth Human on November 23, 2021 at 2:19 pm

Thank You FOMO for all your videos. All youtubers really make a difference in peoples lives. Your and other youtuber videos put us in a relm of imagination and etc. really makes you escape reality sometimes, cuz reality sometimes sucks.

  25. Apollo SW on November 23, 2021 at 2:26 pm

I won’t consider any Samsung TVs until they support Dolby Vision. HDR10+ is ridiculous to me.

  26. Happiness808 on November 23, 2021 at 2:27 pm

LG CX 65" just got $200 ($1949) cheaper at costco today, do you think the it is a steal or wait for QNED/NEO QLED ??

  27. Clinton Jones on November 23, 2021 at 2:28 pm

Commenting for support. Love the videos. Why do you always wear gloves?

  28. pheotonia on November 23, 2021 at 2:31 pm

This is all useless technology! Oh wait a minute, it’s not 2023 yet! DPMLED that’s what I’m waiting for!

  29. Kind Old Raven on November 23, 2021 at 2:31 pm

I wonder how LG’s IPS panels with mini-LED will perform. IPS is known for that weak contrast ratio and I think the backlight and color filter will have to be near-magical to even get it near non-FALD VA levels (if at all possible…).

  30. Steve Coates on November 23, 2021 at 2:32 pm

I wanna love sammys neo but all tge reviews are mixed and unfortunately more in favour of the 65 which is just toooo big for mt front room.

  31. Loki 76 on November 23, 2021 at 2:33 pm

15:08 Why do you think the TCL and HiSense 8K versions would beat the Samsung QN90A 4K MiniLED.. Is it because you think "8K" magically makes it look better?
Seriously.. Do you really think TCL has better IMAGE processing than Samsung? Do you really think TCL or HiSense have better Image Quality? 8K means jack-shit. It’s just a resolution.
It’s all about processing, algorithms and how to best make use of dimming zones and color volume and so on..

TCL and HiSense is not "Sony" or "Samsung", not yet, not even close when it comes to image processing.. Sony has the best IQ and processing. Samsung is not far behind because they have far more performance in their processing than TCL can even dream of..

So a 2,000 dimming Zone TCL 8K TV, doesn’t mean that it will beat even a 120 zone old 2020 Samsung Q90T NON-miniLED..

I agree that Samsung might not elevate the 4K Flagship to the same level as their 8K.. But they certainly have put effort into the gaming area and they know that the real TV to use as competition against LG OLED C1 TV’s is the QN90A and not the several THOUSAND dollar more costly 8K Series from Samsung..

So if Samsung want to compete with the LG C1 and in gaming and so on.. They can’t offer a shitty 90 series 4K flagship TV.
It might not have as many dimming zones as the 8K or as bright etc. But there is more separating them. Such as esthetics of the look of the TV etc.

  32. Tech fanatic on November 23, 2021 at 2:34 pm

Anybody know the release dates on all of these TVs?

  33. Rueagon Vyceratops on November 23, 2021 at 2:34 pm

i am using a Samsung Q LED 8000 series now 43 inch. id love to get a mini led TV . but i wont be able to afford one even the cheapest at least 40 inches . that support Dolby at mos audio too . only the rich will be able to afford those!

  34. Cozalenko7 - on November 23, 2021 at 2:35 pm

TCL c825 Mini led qled is the best tv ever Australian version. Full all in one package. 10/10

  35. David Fluty on November 23, 2021 at 2:35 pm

Thanks for addressing the lineup of mini LED’s this year it’s exactly what I needed to hear! I’m a huge OLED fan (C9) but I have a room in a new house that would fit the theme of CES this year: Supersize me! At 85” OLEDs are out of reach price wise and Samsung’s continued snub of Dolby vision is a deal breaker so I’m most interested in the TCL OD zero. If it can get close to OLED and be affordable at 85” inches I’ll be a happily man! I can’t wait to see your reviews keep up the good work!

What to do when you’re currently using a 6" thick sony lcd tv @ 55" 1080p?

  38. Murat on November 23, 2021 at 2:37 pm

how can you call samsung as a high end? no dolby vision neither atmos but high end?

  39. John Lewis on November 23, 2021 at 2:37 pm

I’m not sure that the new televisions especially the new Oleds are quite the upgrade that the influencers and industry are making it out to be. Have several acquaintances who have seen the new TVs up close and personal and they have come away with the impression of slight upgrade nothing ground breaking

  40. James Li on November 23, 2021 at 2:38 pm

My issue continues to be that I am stuck in China and all the model numbers are different/potentially TV actually a different spec to everything YTers talk about! So I am looking at TCLR645C and TCLQ10E as well as Hisense E8G and U7G Pro…it makes the minefield even more unnavigable!

  42. Gregory Alexander on November 23, 2021 at 2:41 pm

Hi. I’m a new subscriber and really love the channel. I’m looking for some buying advice. Currently have an old Samsung JS8500 65". The TV will be in a family room with side windows that is bright with minor glare during the day. The thing is, most of our Netflix/HBO/Vudu viewing is at night except for some occasional daytime sports. I know Samsung is the go to recommendation for bright rooms but I hate the fact that they don’t support Dolby. Should that even be a consideration? I saw the LG CX in Best Buy and was blown away by the picture quality. Would like to go up to 77" for a more immersive experience. Would it be crazy for me to put an OLED in this room? What if I put some blinds on the windows? I just don’t know how washed out an OLED gets. Thanks for the help!

My 65 inch Vizio M658 was damaged by 1 year old , my budget is 700, I’m thinking Hisense H9G 55 inch is best bet bc I can’t stand Vizio processor or the apps always crash for me but great pic , should I go w the Hisense and risk the red ghosting or wait for something else ?

  48. Yourdeadmeat69 on November 23, 2021 at 2:51 pm

    Micro led is next

  49. JOAT MON on November 23, 2021 at 2:51 pm

I swear every video is love for TCL/Hisense. I’ve seen their TVs and they are really bad. I wouldn’t even wish that my worst enemy own one. I have owned several LG tvs, phones and smart watches. All no longer work. I have a samsung tv and the tiZen OS is really bad And the colors are not natural. I also have a Sony lcd tv. Best tv I have ever owned. Colors look natural without all the gimmicks. Sony was smart to let these other companies rush out their mini led TVs. But please start being less biased to tcl and Hisense. They are cheaply made TVs and their product shows it.
