Subwoofer is on the rear deck! It is a terrible sub. No soundproofing and it rattles. How do I know? I have the ‘20 black XSE.

  2. Ceferino Biton on March 1, 2021 at 10:10 pm

What is the model # of the jbl stereo deck? Is it the same model Toyota uses in their 2020 Tacoma?

  3. Moe smith on March 1, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I have a camry without jbl, for which i am upgrading the audio system. Would you suggest the tweeter be added to a pillar or in dash for the component speakers?

  4. Kenneth Blackburn on March 1, 2021 at 10:15 pm

Ugg so disappointed I cant find a good JBL bypass video. I want SQ not a piece of junk with a borrowed name

  5. Cars Geek on March 1, 2021 at 10:16 pm

so what is the rear JBL deck grill for ? could you show me the actual subwoofr please

  6. o998 7745 on March 1, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Listen I tell you that sound system is better then on my 2016 Accord 6 speaker system.

  7. jms 75 on March 1, 2021 at 10:18 pm

I have contacted JBL regarding the specs of this JBL system. They refuse to give me the impedance and rms wattage of each speaker. Believe me, it is not 800 watts…and certainly not 800 nominal. It isn’t horrible but needs improvement for their “dare to listen” slogan.

  8. Ahmad elDessouki on March 1, 2021 at 10:20 pm

But your review of the Camry’s JBL said it was excellent!…can you elaborate on that please?

  9. Mad Jack Hist on March 1, 2021 at 10:23 pm

Thank you. But I’m confused. The sound is, literally, all around you, but you still need a "surround" setting? Are you talking about DSP effects?

Oh, and boost the highs if you can’t hear them. Very confusing.

Oh, and stereo audio is two channels. Left and Right. And you’re listening to compressed music. Lossless audio is still compressed (not that it matters).

Not defending the audio system; I was just looking for a good review. You have the only one on this specific system.

Thanks for this. I’ve just found your channel and subbed :). What’s your favorite/best in your opinion stock sound system currently, at least that you have tested? I have tried quite a few of the upgraded sound systems. I think the best that I’ve experienced – at least factory, is whatever tesla uses. Second to that would probably be the 19 speaker harmon/kardon that dodge uses in some vehicles.

The sub is located on the rear deck lid between the third brake light and the back seat. All you have to do when you open the trunk is look up and you will see it

You should do the 2014 corolla, maybe a cheap car series?

  13. Sadnan Mamun on March 1, 2021 at 10:33 pm

Thanks for taking the time, big guy

  14. computerguy5437 on March 1, 2021 at 10:33 pm

  15. Yohan Quinones on March 1, 2021 at 10:34 pm

I got a se 2020 Corolla and it has jbl speakers

  16. hrnylmz on March 1, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Sounds like you added the sound afterwards. Very clear and crisp! Thank you!

  17. timur sakaoglu on March 1, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Just guestimating here but I would bet you its 800w peak which is more or less 400 true rms wattage. For the breakdown I also am just guessing here but its likely the 9 channel amp is an even 30-35w rms for the 8 stereo channels and roughly 120-160rms sub channel

Its obviously not an aftermarket Helix/Focal or JL but its pretty ok and up there with all the other OEM systems that the premium brands have to offer

  18. Cool Badass on March 1, 2021 at 10:38 pm

WAV files really😂, we’re lucky if the system can play 24bit, flac files seriously you need hi-fi speakers for that man

  19. Cool Badass on March 1, 2021 at 10:40 pm

  22. Martin TREMBLAY on March 1, 2021 at 10:43 pm

the guy searches for the subwoofer under the spare wheel…. come on man. if you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t make videos!

the subwoofer is on the backplate, centered. if you open the trunk just take a look on the upper plate, you’ll see it!

    you’re welcome!

  23. DarthSoka 444 on March 1, 2021 at 10:46 pm

If I were to get a Blazer it would only be the v6. I’d never get the 4 cylinder, too bland and mice could run faster than that thing!

  27. Working Class on March 1, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Hate that it’s optional should be included with the xse and xle….. impossible to find a used Toyota with jbl.
