Damn, mike, thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m currently trying to buy a car and the sound system is important. Appreciate the review!

JBL system is not very good an nearly impossible to upgrade, stick with the base system and upgrade an amp and the speakers, mostly the fronts.

  5. hiram partible on March 15, 2021 at 11:25 pm

  10. Brayden Harper on March 15, 2021 at 11:31 pm

In your opinion does this have better bass than the 2014 Toyota camry?

  11. alex park on March 15, 2021 at 11:32 pm

  13. yoyohooyo on March 15, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Although I think highly of Toyota, I like the dash and display on my 2016 Civic EX much better than the new Camry, but I don’t like the cheap ass defective Firestone tires that came on my new Civic. They suck.

  14. Matty Luca on March 15, 2021 at 11:33 pm

i have a ’19 Camry XSE V6 with the JBL setup. it sounds great unless you play a bass-heavy song. i thought my speaker was blown out bc it makes this weird whiny/buzzing noise with certain types of bass hits (like a blown out speaker) regardless of volume. i brought to the toyota dealer since i bought the car new the week prior. the service guy tells me that toyota doesnt have great speakers so i said "no, i got the jbl set-up" to which he replied, "yeah they still just use toyota speakers tho". They still checked and tested everything and as it turns out the speakers have no damage, they just suck. i felt so tricked and betrayed. shame on you toyota

Sounds great👍🏻👍🏻 love the sound adjustments and the no gimmicks that bose, sony or other sound systems usually come with. Cant wait for this to come on the 2020 corolla👌🏻

How much is that head unit?

  23. Leah Thompson on March 15, 2021 at 11:47 pm

Honestly I was interested in Toyota’s with the JBL sound System bc I’ve owned a Bluetooth JBL speaker before and it was so good that it definitely beat the quality of sound that my 2013 Prius has built-in – so I would actually have seamless uninterrupted music and would just play from my phone through my BT JBL speaker and carry it with me everywhere, from the house to the bike to the car. So, maybe I would opt for a different trim level and save on a package and just get another $200 JBL Bluetooth portable speaker! ;P you can also customize and give yourself leather interior for a couple grand. So, I don’t know if it’s worth it to spend thousands extra on a car model that has the extras built in….but if budget is less of an issue…. I was interested and excited Toyota partnered with JBL for their sound System bc my past experience with the JBL brand was surprisingly memorable and excellent.

I’ll have to upload a video of my 2018 Camry SE with stock head unit diamond speakers all around along with 2 12” JL audio subs powered by 2 1000 watt amps

  25. xRAW THC on March 15, 2021 at 11:49 pm

  26. Metoo3 on March 15, 2021 at 11:50 pm

how is the base system? Im not looking to get the jbl on the camry but I cant find where ppl test the base model car with the non-jbl sound sytem

  28. Donald Chin on March 15, 2021 at 11:54 pm

Why the JBL GreenEdge speakers sounds so terrible?

  29. vulcanman64 on March 15, 2021 at 11:55 pm

You should have had some bass on the recording. Too tinny.

  30. chuck osborne on March 15, 2021 at 11:57 pm

My 2016 with "JBL Premium sound" is rather lame. There is nowhere near enough sound from the rear. There are 2 tweeters in the back and a sub on the drivers side rear. The passenger side rear has a cutout for a speaker with a plastic filler panel in it. Anybody know if there’s a wire harness in place for that passenger side rear or would you have to run wires to it? Pretty sad I have about 300 dollars in an old beater truck stereo that sounds way better than this thing.

  31. Andrew Davison on March 15, 2021 at 11:58 pm

The system in a standard sedan like a Camry is never going to be good or great- just okay. Make sure you get the sound package if you want it to be "okay." If you guys are actually wanting a premium, HiFi sound in your car from the factory, you’ll have to buy something like a BMW 3 series. If you’re not willing to shell out the cash for one or a used one, don’t expect to be bumping in your camry- but don’t make the mistake of not getting the sound package or you’ll be really sorry!

  32. Lord Junk on March 15, 2021 at 11:58 pm

That was a bad song choice

  33. Gi Jo on March 15, 2021 at 11:58 pm

That infotainment system looks like something from 2001. Lol

  34. Trin bad on March 15, 2021 at 11:59 pm

Can you upload a video on, playing future or something?
    Thank you so much

  35. Let's Ride Illinois on March 15, 2021 at 11:59 pm

I hate that it’s almost impossible to find out the full specs of stock audio systems. Like SnR, what kind of dac, etc. You also did this test with bluetooth audio which is not an accurate comparison unless it’s one of the lossless bluetooth codecs which no one car audio components support at this time.

    Entune 3.0 on Camry SUUUUCKKSSS….

  37. R Hopper on March 16, 2021 at 12:02 am

The 2018 and up Camry JBL systems SUCK!!! My 2010 Nissan Bose system was much better. JBL lost so much money on selling the head unit that had to skimp on the amp and speakers. Then charged Toyota $378 a door speaker. The door speaker and sub woofers are complete JUNK!!! They are literally worth like $5 each. The magnets are the size of a nickle. And the amp is proprietary so cannot just be swapped with any normal amp. You need a $250 switch kit to do this. But if you just go online and find some (low sensitivity) replacement speakers it will sound a lot better.

    Ass 😡

  39. MauriceNL on March 16, 2021 at 12:04 am

I love the Camry. But it’s really expensive tho even the cheapest trim

  40. Legit tuber1414 on March 16, 2021 at 12:04 am

So Toyata Camry got JBL speakers VS Mazda 6 Bose speakers.

  41. ROGELIO ROCHA on March 16, 2021 at 12:04 am

Yes i just bought a camry Le and the sound sucks. There are not speakers on the back just a big empty circle . Does anybody know what is that for?

  42. Mark And Blitz on March 16, 2021 at 12:05 am

TRY a good Tom Petty song instead of that noise you tested. I had to turn it off ,,

  43. sukhman singh on March 16, 2021 at 12:06 am

why every sound sytem review came with shittiest song ?

  44. AsianJBlazian on March 16, 2021 at 12:08 am

If you all are saying it sound bad. It’s the cameras fault. Its compressing the audio to prevent clipping. If he used an Zoom H1 recorder. Then we could really tell its abilities

  45. ArthropodSpidey on March 16, 2021 at 12:08 am

The UI looks like the UI on the Apple 2 computer.

Toyota is stuck in the 80s.

  46. Boats N Hoes on March 16, 2021 at 12:10 am

It’s sounds so thin. It might be the recording or the audio that you’re playing, but have a look at my Old Cuze system here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_eodxdV9CU

You can feel the bass, on yours there isn’t much Bass.
