To possibly save time and frustration on the glasses $40 off special…
(04:33) read the fine print re current prescription and "transaction" date.
(Also, the wording seems to me to be saying you have to buy the glasses the same day as your eye exam??? It’s a bit awkwardly written)
I’ve seen similar specials are often limited to single-vision or at "most" to bi-focal lenses that have the distinctive optical separating horizontal line in them. In other words, it may not apply to the "no-line bifocals" aka "progressive" lenses glasses.
Specials also often exclude glasses with prescriptions that contain "prism" for astigmatism correction.

Most of this stuff is impulse buys, no wonder storage companies are popping up all over the place and making tons of cash. Buy and pay for storage later :0

Costco has raised its prices. They never prepare adequately to have decent quantities of the items on their coupon book. Their coupon book is a gimmick.

Does Costco do that BS scanning your purchase as you exit the store ?

  22. Notanexpert 09 on April 25, 2021 at 3:38 am

I have that pressure washer. There is nothing wrong with it, it’s a complete beast and works as it should. Plenty powerful. Just remember when you use a soap or concrete cleaner with it afterwards disconnect the solution tube and just run it with the water to clean out everything so it doesn’t get junked up.

Appreciate the video, but I don’t shop at Costco any longer. While this makes me a little sad, they have lately been demonstrating they don’t care about customer relations. We’ve had several conflicts with Costco employees in the store in our town.

It started with them encouraging people to use self-checkout. We found out they keep an employee at each checkout station to berate you if you make a mistake, literally. We tried this several times and the employees were impatient, unfriendly and rude. This wasn’t some complex process. Rather it was about monitoring me scanning items and directing the process in a short and impatient way, rather than politely suggesting, “Hey you might want to try this”. Rather their attitude was, “Hustle it up pal, you’re holding up the line.”

Our Costco store has managers standing and waiting at the end of checkout. I wondered what they did and found out today. I was complementing the cashier and the man helping her. I go out of my way to be friendly with their folks, as I do with people everywhere I go. It doesn’t cost anything and I hope to spread a little positive vibe in a stressed out world.

There is a plexiglass barrier at (regular) checkout and I was wearing a mask. The cashier indicated she couldn’t hear me, so I lowered my mask for maybe 10 sec. to say I was lucky to get the “A” team for checkout. The barrier protected her and by the way I’ve been vaccinated and still wear a mask because not everyone has.

One of the junior managers hustles right over to tell me, not ask me, to put my mask on. I looked at her and explained what was happening – I took it down for a couple seconds because the cashier could hear me. She says, “We can hear you just fine. Leave your mask on”. I said “Ok” and continued the checkout.

I said to the cashier “Wow” and that I thought the manager was a little rude. Again, she indicated she couldn’t hear me. I lowered my mask with my hand still on the mask, to repeat myself. The senior store manager now hustles over to direct me to put my mask on immediately. I raised my mask and told him to back off and I didn’t appreciate his attitude or that of the other manager. He said, “That won’t be happening because our mask policy is direct from the CEO.”

If you wanted to draw up the most offensive way to handle a customer interaction, this would have to be near the top.

I work hard for my money. I go out of my way to be helpful and friendly to my customers. As a result, they enjoy doing business with me and return to do more. I won’t stand for rude behavior from businesses that are competing for my money. This poor attitude undoubtedly starts at the top, but every one of these people has a choice in how they treat customers. Maybe they think their value proposition is so good, being “nice” to customers doesn’t matter.

It seems like Costco is confused the way WalMart became confused in our town. They felt their low prices left them with no real competition, so they treat their customers like cattle. I’m selling cheap, so you don’t deserve customer service.

If your Costco store displays a similar attitude, I’d suggest you vote with your feet. I’m blessed to be able to shop at other very nice stores in our town. The people at our Publix stores go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. It’s worth the slightly higher price and you can buy the quantity you need rather than a giant container. Best of luck Costco.

April is almost over! Chances are we are sold out. Sorry but we will check another store so you can get your hopes up and then we will tell you we are all out in your area.

1st item: swinging hammock chair; you should *only* buy this from Costco, & only because of Costco’s generous returns policy. _Every_ folding chair I’ve purchased in the past couple of decades has failed at the plastic joints [because plastic always fails due to UV & oxygen exposure.] When (not "if!") it fails, you’ll be able to get a refund from Costco. That is why this is a "Only Costco only" item…

This is a fun site. Very informative. I have never seen you before. Quick question? Do you review the portable AC/Heater units? I am looking for a deal on a 14000 BTU heat and air units.

Went to my local Costco and I would have to say the best deal I found in the plant section was their 2 gallon Knockout Rose bushes for only $15.99 🤯 they normally sell between $25-$40. Love it!

I have purchased those smaller clear containers with the gray handles. Those gray handles fall off for no reason. I purchased them for my business. What a waste of money.

Watched an older couple today dragging one of those Husqvarna Power Washers back into the store, I assume to return it. Oops. 😬 Husqvarna is not the same company it was 50 years ago with those beastly chainsaws. They have diversified into cheaper stuff. I have a Yamaha that I bought there a few years back and so far so good.
The string lights are often on sale for $39. Often.
I’ve been doing my own oil changes for over 4 decades and have been using Mobil One for the last 2 of those, but I recently switched to Kirkland. Great value. Much cheaper and has similar if not better specifications. Definitely paying a premium for the name.
Had those flags in my had today marveling at the quality, then left without one. I will return.
Great great price on a Vitamix!!
    Air purifiers?? Meh.
Have a Patio heater and never use it.
Didn’t see the swinging chairs. Hmmmm.
Eye glasses? Costco is the only place to buy them in my opinion. Big thumbs up.

    Keep up the fun videos.

Just found your channel and subscribed. Would you consider adding an index / chapter marker in the description that helps us know ahead of time what is covered. I realize that this means people may jump around and not watch the whole video, but it would make for a better experience for the viewer IMHO.

Costco website says the hammock chair is 49.99?😕

  47. Rapha on April 25, 2021 at 4:09 am

Dumb question: I saw a google review that mentioned the ‘deal of the month’ (four AMC tix/ $11). Does each store have sales exclusive to that location or does Costco roll out their deals nationwide? Like, there’s sales and then there is a specific deal of the month? How does it work??

  48. Anthony Sulayao on April 25, 2021 at 4:13 am

Most of these products are not even on sale and have been available most of the year or at least for several months not including April, such as the outdoor heater, some of the dips, the gyros, the string lights, and more.
